Having your own domain name is one of the best ways for you to stand out in the online world and establish a presence.
A domain name also helps you build your brand and provides you with a platform to connect with your targeted audience and start bringing in more prospects and potential customers into your business.
I feel like acquiring your own domain is like buying a piece of online real estate.
As you continue to add quality content to your site on a regular basis, your domain’s value will continue to rise in value.
Also, if you want people to take you seriously and give your business a more professional look then having your own domain name is essential to having any kind of success in the online world.
2. Writing Content That Addresses Your Target Market’s Challenges & Struggles
In order for you to build a relationship with your target market and generate more leads into your business you need to understand your audience and think like they do.
What on earth are you talking about, Scott?
Let me explain!!
Let’s say that you’re in the weight loss niche and somebody types into Google “How to lose weight & keep it off while eating healthier on a budget”
I always find that sharing your personal story about how you were about to achieve this and providing your audience with a step by step plan of action that they can replicate for similar results usually works out the best.
Show them how to lose weight and keep it off while eating clean on a budget.
If they’re asking questions, then provide them with helpful answers.
If they come to you with their problems, offer them solutions.
If they have pains, be the painkiller!!
Write content that’s engaging and encourages them to interact with your website.
Gone are the days of cold calling and relying on your warm market to drive leads to your business.
Instead of pitching and recruiting to your target market, why not reach out and help them instead?
By writing content that addresses your audiences weak points and provides them with the information they’re looking for you will naturally attract more targeted leads and signs up to your business.
3. Offering A Free Trial Or Discount Of Some Kind
Everyone loves free shit!!
Wouldn’t you guys agree with this assessment?
Offering a free trial does quite a few things for your business and here are just a few off the top of my head:
- Shows that you believe in your product/service 100% & stand by it
- Builds rapport & trust
- Allows people to test drive your product/service risk-free
This marketing strategy works best for people who run a membership site or have created their own digital product and can be delivered electronically via the internet.
4. Available By Invitation Only
This is a marketing strategy that works well and a great way to weed out the good from the bad and keep things exclusive.
This also makes people curious about what is behind closed doors.
I know of several online business opportunities that currently use this technique and surprisingly enough they have had huge amounts of success doing so.
I have reviewed many recruiting based MLM’s that use this technique and it seems to work really well for them.
This also works if you’re launching a product/ service and you wanna test out certain parts of the country first before going nationwide.
5. Branding Yourself
Building your personal brand is one of the most essential things that you should be doing when you first get started online.
It’s a proven fact that people join people, not businesses.
When was the last time you followed someone on FB or any of the other social networks out there?
What was your sole purpose in doing this?
If you’re anything like me, then chances are that you follow them because you are interested in what they have to say and you can personally relate to them.
Am I right?
By branding yourself and sharing your own personal experiences and struggles with other people this will create trust.
People will naturally want to connect with you and they will opt-in and listen to what you have to say.
This strategy has helped me connect with many people and I was able to double the amount of leads and sales in my business.
6. Working Smarter Instead Of Harder
I’m sure that you guys have heard this statement many times, but do you actually know what it means?
For years, I thought I knew what it meant, but in the long run, I really didn’t.
So what does this really mean, Scott?
As an affiliate marketer, this means several things for me and I’ll list these for you guys below!!
- Don’t put all your eggs in 1 basket. IE: Stop limiting yourself to promoting 1 program.
- Instead of promoting products with low pay and horrible retention, seek out the higher paying ones that make it worth your time. Time Is Money!!
- Stop being cheap and don’t be afraid to invest in your business. If you aren’t willing to invest in the right program to grow your business then you’ll find yourself stuck on the treadmill for years like me.
For you, working smarter could have a whole new meaning, but this is personally what this means for me.

7. Get Yourself A Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)
For years I struggled to keep all my leads in 1 place.
I constantly found myself jotting down notes here and there trying to keep in contact with everyone that opted into my biz opportunity.
This is cool if you don’t get that many leads on a daily basis, but if you do you could find this to be quite challenging.
I know I did, anyway!!
