Build My List is basically a 5 step system that will walk you through how to build an email list and it teaches you the basics of how email marketing works. Does BML really live up to the hype surrounding it and the bold claims that it makes? In this review, I’m going to shed some light on this subject and dig deep into this program to see if it offers any valuable training or not.
At the present time, BML is currently closed to new members if you go directly to their sales page. However, If you join through someone’s affiliate link you can still get in that way.
What Is BML And What Will You Be Doing When You Join?
This system launched on May 11th, 2015 on the JV zoo network. This program is broken down into 5 key steps on how to build a massive email list and teaches you how email marketing works. In a nutshell, BML is an email list builder software that focuses on how to build squeeze pages and shows you how to drive traffic to your opt-in forms on your website. Once you join, you will be greeted by Jimmy Kim and taken to the members area.
Here You Will See Everything That’s Available To You In The Members Area Below
I will go into detail on everything that’s offered in the members area in a few minutes. As you can see there is nothing fancy here.
Here’s Some Background Information On Jimmy Kim
As I was doing my research on this program, I found that Jimmy got his start in Internet marketing as one of Anik Singal’s students working on Inbox Blueprint. Up until now, I actually thought this program was halfway decent but I have to change my mind after I saw this.
For those of you who don’t know, Anik Singal is the creator of Inbox Blueprint which I reviewed a while back. This scored pretty high on my scam meter and it’s not a program that I would recommend to anyone.
Jimmy has also gone on to create his very own autoresponder service called sendlane.com. He graciously gives you 90 days of premium service for up to 10,000 subscribers included when you join.
Who Is This Product Geared Towards?
This is more geared towards people who already have some experience with internet marketing and know how to drive traffic to websites. If you are a newbie to internet marketing then more than likely you will be confused. I know that if I heard the terms squeeze page and landing page and opt-in I wouldn’t have a clue what you were talking about.
If you are an experienced marketer looking to gain some knowledge about email marketing, then this product would be geared towards you as well.
Here’s What I Liked About BML
- A good amount of video training in the members area
- Not as many upsells as other IM products/make money online products
Here’s What I Didn’t Like About BML
- Unrealistic claims- Jimmy tells you that he built a million dollar business by only working 10 minutes a day. Come on Jimmy! Let’s be real here!
- Doesn’t offer a free trial
- You are tied to sendlane.com This won’t work with any other autoresponder
- Module #3 promotes MOBE which is a well known Ponzi Scheme
- It’s a JV Zoo product. This is a network known for its low quality products and in some cases flat out scams.
- Their training focuses on using paid traffic and very little focus on SEO. This can get pretty costly if you aren’t experienced in using these advanced traffic methods.
Do They Have Any Decent Training?
Like I said earlier, this program consists of five training modules and I will list everything that comes included in your membership when you join.
Module#1- List Secrets– In this module, you will be introduced to email marketing and shown the basics on how to build your first list.
This includes:
- Why you should build a list
- The value of building your list
- How to build your first list
This includes your very own squeeze page, along with 10 training videos that cover the 3 steps I’ve listed above.
Module#2- The Profit Machine- This module focuses on getting your autoresponder setup and how to setup your messages. Like I mentioned earlier in this review, you will receive 90 days of premium service using Jimmy’s autoresponder sendlane.com. You are also tied into using his service. If you don’t like it, then you are pretty much S.O.L.
Module#3- Max Commissions- This module talks about programs that you can promote for 100% commissions. This includes promoting BML along with many other programs. I was shocked to find MOBE as one of the products available for you to promote in the members area. Like I said earlier, this is another well known Ponzi Scheme and not something I would recommend to anyone.
Module#4- Business Wizard- This is where you will build your squeeze page. This module consists of a drag and drop squeeze page builder. There are a few training videos to assist you with how to do this.
Module#5- Instant Traffic Triggers- This is all about generating traffic to your squeeze page. This mostly focuses on paid traffic sources even though I was able to find a few things on using free sources.
Here Are A Few Bonuses That You Will Receive In Addition To What I Listed Above
Daily Power Calls- You will be given a special phone number where you can dial in daily and get coaching. You will also receive, tips, tricks, and other advice.
BML Rebrander- This is nothing more than private label rights (PLR) content. This is content that has been reproduced, sold, and licensed to be used by other people. This is nothing more than duplicate content in my eyes and a direct violation of Google’s rules. If you want to kill your online business fast then this will do just that.
Done For You Businesses- These are pre-made website templates that are already built and embedded with your affiliate link. All you need to do is drive traffic to them.
How Much Will This End Up Costing You In The Long Run?
The main training course will run you $49 to start out with. Before you can even use this system you are going to need traffic. This is going to be another expense that Jimmy fails to mention. This could run you anywhere from $50- $300 depending on how much traffic you want and the keywords you choose.
Also, there is no guarantee that your traffic will convert. It mainly depends on your experience with PPC. If you have some experience in the PPC world and can write excellent ad copy, then you could make some good money with this.
If you have no experience doing paid advertising, you could dump a bunch of money into traffic and fail to get a good return on your investment(ROI)
Are There Any Upsells?
What program would be complete without upsells right? Surprisingly enough BLM only has 2 upsells which cost $97 each.
Upsell#1- Copy and Paste Profits- This is a $25K case study that shows how Jimmy was able to make $25K a month from send lane (His new autoresponder service)
Upsell#2- BML Elite- This is a premium level of support. You will go to the head of the line and every question you submit will receive top priority. This is like paying for V.I.P status.
You will also receive 10 weekly training sessions with either Jimmy or a member of his team.
Do They Have A Decent Support Team?
From what I was able to tell their support is in the form of a ticket system. They also have an FAQ page that you can go to for any possible questions you have that may have already been answered there. If you decided to upgrade to BML Elite then you will get an extra level of premium help and support when you need it.
You will also have access to daily power calls where you can call in and receive coaching. I wouldn’t expect too much from this since you aren’t paying anything extra for it.
Here’s My Conclusion
While I think there is some decent training here on list building and how to build squeeze pages. I found many things that I simply don’t agree with. One of the biggest things that I didn’t like was that MOBE is one of the products that you can make 100% commissions on in module#3.
Mobe alone could end up costing you another $2K minimum if you want to be eligible for the $10K commissions per sale that Jimmy tells you about in the sales video. I wrote a thorough review on MOBE quite some time ago and you can check it out here.
Aside from that, I also didn’t like that you were tied to sendlane.com. This autoresponder has only been around for 2 years and they currently have less than 20,000 customers so far.
I just don’t feel comfortable recommending this system to you guys based on the many things I have listed above.
Personally, I would rather build my own website(Something that I own) and learn how to drive natural traffic to it through SEO efforts first. When the time is right, I would start building my email list and look into other traffic methods like PPC, once I got a good flow of traffic going to my website on a daily basis.
This just makes better sense wouldn’t you agree? There are much better programs out there that don’t limit themselves to strictly email marketing alone. One, in particular, happens to be the all-inclusive online marketing training center that I have been a member of for almost 3 years now which is Wealthy Affiliate.
If you are looking for in depth training on just about any kind of marketing you can think of, then I would highly recommend that you check them out.
I really hope this review has given you an inside look at BML and that I have been able to give you some insight into this program. Do you have a personal experience that you would like to share with everyone here? I would love to hear about it below. You will be helping other people make a sound decision as to whether this program could be a good fit for them or not.
Also, if you have any questions or comments you can leave them for me below as well.

Hi Scott,
Like most of these types of programs the are usually tied to a service and in this case, it’s sendlane.
This is where Jimmy is making his money, on getting customers for his autoresponder.
I say that because once you integrate your business with that program – he ends up with a long term customer paying him a recurring income.
And like all these programs they always seem to leave out the most important thing – traffic. How to drive traffic.
Here’s it’s PPC. But if you have no clue how to do PPC – you’re going to spend a lot of money during that learning curve.
Here’s a the perfect 2 step plan:
If you want to build a mailing list and be an email marketer.
First forget this crap program, sign up for a real autoresponder service such as Aweber or Get Response (I use Aweber).
Each of these services has live chat support as well as in-depth training.
And second, get the proper training on how to generate traffic so you can build your mailing list. And the best training is Wealthy Affiliate.
You learn free and paid methods of traffic generation.
The bottom line is – no matter what program you use, if you have no idea how to generate traffic or you do not get any training in the traffic method being provided – you’re dead in the water.
Cheers

Hi Leo,
It didn’t take me long to see where Jimmy was making his real money cause things just didn’t add up with him only getting paid from selling BML. Starting your very own autoresponder can be very profitable, but it could take you years before it takes off. What a better way to grow your customer base than by affiliating it with a list building program?
I got to admit that’s pretty clever of Jimmy to do this, but stupid that you are tied to only his autoresponder instead of having the freedom to pick your own company. Personally, I feel like all of these list building programs are putting the cart before the horse by having you start out building a list when you have NO traffic.
Like you said, all of these companies always seem to leave out how you are supposed to get traffic to your site. They must think it’s automatically going to start pouring in as soon as you join their program. They always seem to have PPC as how to drive traffic to your list but fail to mention that PPC can get really expensive.
Especially for newbies who have no idea what they’re doing just starting out. There is very little training on SEO which I frowned on when I was reviewing this program. I think your 2 step plan sounds a whole lot economical and just makes more sense than BML does. I am living proof that the training at WA works and is the only platform anyone needs if they want to be successful online.
Thanks so much for stopping by Leo and giving me your thoughts on BML it really is appreciated man.

Hi Scott- I initially looked at this program and had some suspicions. After reading your thorough review I am so glad I paused to check it out. Among all the potential flaws you pointed out in your review, (unproven mandatory auto-responder, costly up-sells, and only working 10 minutes a day to achieve results), when you add to that a support team that is in the form of a ticket system, it just doesn’t seem like an overall winning formula. This is one to stay away from, and save your money.
Special note: Scott, I have been following your reviews for quite some time now, and have found them not only informative but fair, concise and professionally written, saving me and I’m sure many of your readers bundles of hard earned cash. Thanks so much!
All the best,
~Tom

Hey Tom,
Like you, I also had my doubts about this program and found it suspicious as well so I thought It would be worth taking another look at it. The fact that Jimmy was Anik Singal’s student should be enough to turn you off from this program altogether. I think the biggest red flag about BML is that they’re promoting MOBE in the back end as one of the programs that you can make 100% commissions on.
This is nothing more than one huge Ponzi Scheme
This program also serves as a funnel to Jimmy’s newly launched autoresponder (send lane) which is where they make the majority of their money. I’m so glad that you did your research first and you were able to read my review first before making any drastic decisions that you would end up regretting later on.
I’m glad you have been enjoying the reviews man and I will keep them coming. I do want to thank you for stopping by tom and sharing your thoughts with everyone here today. Your comments are much appreciated!
Cheers

Man I’ve been trying to do email marketing for a while now, but I haven’t found the right program to do the job. I came across this one and decided to see what others had to say about this and I’m so glad I came across your review. I am looking for the absolute best way to “build my list” and make money with it. What do you recommend when it comes to email marketing?
Scott Newkirk
Hey John,
I have also been trying to get into email marketing myself and haven’t had much luck with it. I was hoping that this program would be my answer, but after I dug a little deeper into it I didn’t like what I found. As far as recommending a list builder I would highly recommend Aweber. They are the #1 autoresponder service out there and I currently have an account with them myself.
As for ways to build your list, there are quite a few ways you could do this and I will list a few of them below.
Have an opt-in form and have people subscribe to get your latest posts
Another great way to build your list would be by giving something away like an e-book in exchange for their email address
Also, if you have a course on how to do something you could have people sign up for your course and email them a lesson a day
These are the most common ways to start building your list. I want to thank you for stopping by John and chiming in on this discussion. If you have anymore questions please let me know man.
Cheers,
