When it comes to review sites in the Internet marketing industry I think we can all agree that there is no shortage of information that’s available to the public. With thousands of products in the “Make Money Online” Industry being released each year, these review sites are in high demand and are much needed if you don’t want to fall victim to the latest and greatest money making scheme. But can you really trust the reviews and recommendations on IM Report card as a legitimate source of information?
Within the following post, I’m going to thoroughly explore this popular review site and show you if they really can be trusted or not.
What Exactly Is IM Report Card
In a nutshell, this is basically a review site that’s powered by other people sharing their own personal experience with internet marketing/ make money online opportunities out there and grading them on a scale of A-F. There are also actual reviewers that take the time to review the product as well but are these reviews of the utmost quality? I’ll get into more of the specifics of that later on in this review.
There are also ways for people to earn credits and other prizes simply by grading products, rating a review or another person’s comment, as well as leaving a comment of your own and earning points for it which can be cashed in later. This is what leads me to question the quality and accuracy of these reviews. Are people truly rating these products based on their own personal experience or are they just trying to earn credits?
Can The Reviews Found On IM Report Card Be Trusted?
Due to my many years of experience in the online world and the massive amount of scams that I’ve fallen victim to in the past, I know a thing or two about online marketing products and I can spot a scam from a mile away. Honestly, I feel that this site does has a few quality products on there that I would personally recommend on my site. However, there were many red flags that popped up as I was doing my research that had me quite concerned.
Red Flag Elements- There were many programs that I would consider flat-out scams and in some cases illegal Ponzi schemes that according to the reviews on this site are listed as a legitimate opportunity. Just to give you guys a prime example of what I’m talking about I reviewed Infinity Downline just last week which is a pretty obvious cash gifting scheme that’s disguised as an MLM and has been operational since 2009.
This is probably one of the worst programs that I’ve reviewed yet, and for some reason, they seem to think it’s a worthwhile opportunity. As a matter of fact, they have even listed it #1 in their top 25 biz opportunities.
Check Out The Screenshot Below
Extremely Outdated Information- As I was doing my research on how up to date their reviews are, and how often they update their site I found that most if not all of their reviews haven’t been updated in years. Some of these were dated all the way back to as far as 2009. I also found that many of their top recommendations aren’t even in existence anymore due to them being shut down.
Another prime example of this would be one of their top recommendations Internet Income University which was officially shut down in 2014. What kind of legitimate review site would recommend programs that are no longer in existence, and don’t bother to update their site for 5 years or more? Seriously? You have got to be kidding me!
Don’t take my word for it, here’s a screenshot of their official Facebook page which verifies this below!
A Good Amount Of Broken Links- As I was navigating around on their site I found more dead links than I feel a reputable review site should have and this has really put a bad taste in my mouth and really has me questioning how reputable this site really is.
Earn Credits For Grading Products & Writing Reviews
Don’t get me wrong, I think that earning credits by doing tasks and other odd jobs is a great idea and I actually love the whole concept of this. However, when I see that you can earn credits by simply rating reviews, commenting on them, and grading programs on a scale of A-F, it pretty much verifies that the reviews listed on this site are graded based on how many credits you get and how you’ll be rewarded for doing so. Instead of grading the products based on what it really is and sharing your personal experience with it which is how any reputable review site would base their reviews on.
As I dug deeper into the different ways you can earn credits and some of the rewards they offer you to cash out your credits I discovered that they are also affiliated with a few traffic exchange programs. Once you earn 1,000 credits you can cash these in for 5,000 banner ads on traffic swarm which is another PTC site. You can also earn sweepstake entries into cash giveaways as well once you earn 100 credits and you can also refer your friends and earn sweepstake entries
Would I Consider The Reviews & Top Recommendations On IM Report Card To Be Legitimate?
Like I said earlier, there are a small handful of programs that I would personally recommend on this site, but the majority of the reviews and top recommendations are either well known scams, broken links, or programs that aren’t even operational anymore due to them being shut down.
When searching for reviews online it’s critical that the site you choose to go with can be trusted and that they actually have your best interests in mind. A vast majority of review sites out there are affiliates for these products and they could really care less about writing an honest and unbiased review because they are only out to make a commission.
It’s pretty obvious that IM Report Card happens to be one of those sites and I honestly wouldn’t recommend them as a reliable source when searching for reviews about any potential business opportunity in the internet marketing industry.
When it comes to business opportunities, there are very few places that I actually put my stamp of approval on and recommend, with Wealthy Affiliate being my #1 recommendation. Any review site that has too many options and has a list of thousands of different opportunities tends to overwhelm people and it’s sites like this that give the internet marketing industry a bad name.
I really hope this review has helped you guys out and hopefully I was able to shed some light on how the reviews and top recommendations are generated. What’s your take on all of this? Do you have any personal experience with this particular review site that you would like to share with everyone here?
I would love to hear about it! Leave any questions, comments, or any feedback you have for me in the comments below!
