This question has come up quite a bit here lately and I’ve answered it many times.
I thought instead of answering it another 50 times, I would just blog about it and make this information widely available for everyone.
I wish I would have discovered blogging earlier in life!
If I would have, then I probably wouldn’t have fallen for so many scams and I wouldn’t have lost thousands of dollars trying to make money doing things that just didn’t work.
Within the following post, I want to show you the sheer potential that available from doing something as simple as sharing your thoughts about a particular topic and getting paid very well for doing so.
I’ll also be showing you how to earn a residual income from your blog and some of the best ways to earn money from it.
Why Do People Blog?
Depending on who you ask will determine what kind of an answer you’ll get. Many people will tell you that they do it to make money, and while this is partly true, it shouldn’t be the only reason you start up a blog.
Obviously, we all need money to survive but if this is your only reason then you are probably better off sticking to your 9-5 job.
The majority of people who have had any success in the blogging world will tell you that they do it because it’s something that they are passionate about it and they enjoy helping people.
Does the thought of getting paid to do something you love and help other people out while you’re at it sound appealing to you?
If it does then you should definitely consider Starting Up Your Blog Today!
What Exactly Is A Blog?
This is nothing more than a place for you to share your thoughts with other like-minded people who are looking for information on a particular topic.
I like to think of this as a knowledge base where you’ll be connecting with other like-minded people and building a relationship with them.
You’ll accomplish this by simply answering their questions, helping them out, and providing them with a solution to their problem.
This can be done in many ways but the most popular way is through something called Affiliate Marketing. There are many directions you can choose to go in when creating your first blog and this leads me up to my next question.
What Will You Blog About?
This is where you’ll need to get creative and get some ideas running through your head.
This is one of the many things I love about blogging because you are in complete control and you can ultimately decide what direction to go in.
Unlike other programs out there where you’ll be required to recruit other people into their latest MLM scheme, or sell the latest and greatest potions and lotions on your blog.
With this opportunity, you’ll actually get the chance to decide for yourself what to base this on.
Studies show that people who enjoy what they’re doing are far more likely to be successful vs people who are strictly in it for the money and have absolutely no interest in what they’re doing.
If this is the case you might as well stick with your 9-5 and leave the blogging to someone else.
What Are Some of Your Hobbies & Interests?
There are literally millions of things you could talk about on your blog, but you need to narrow this down and try not to go too broad.
This is one of the most common mistakes that most people make when getting started in the online world and the reason why most people fail to make their first dime.
What you base this on is entirely up to you and this is where most people tend to get stuck and spend entirely to much time on.
Have you thought about what you’ll base your blog on yet? Start typing a few of these ideas into the search box below to see if it’s available or not.
How Can Your Blog Make You Money?
Once you have connected with your audience and you gradually start to build a relationship with them you’ll also have the potential to make lots of money from them.
This involves partnering up with well known merchants like Amazon, Bestbuy, and Ebay just to name a few and promoting their products and services on your website.
You’ll be given your own personal affiliate link that you’ll need to place on your site in order to keep track of where your sales are coming from.
You’ll be paid a commission for every person who makes a purchase based on your recommendation and goes through your link before making a purchase.
This can take quite some time to master, but once you do the sky is the limit as to how much money you can actually make doing this.
I have been at this for a little over 3 years now and I currently make a couple thousand dollars a month from 1 blog and a few others that bring in some extra income as well.
Just imagine if you had a couple that was producing a couple thousand a month each.
Wouldn’t that be sweet? What would you do with a couple extra thousand dollars a month?
With over 2 billion people online each day with this number growing daily the potential is unlimited as to how much money you can make.
My Top 3 Ways To Make Money From Your Blog
1. Membership Sites- This happens to be my #1 way to start earning residual income and a way to continue getting paid month after month for the work that you did once.
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could continue to get paid month after month for work that you did years ago?
That’s the beauty of promoting sites that have a recurring payment and this happens to be where the majority of my income comes from.

2. Mini Niche Sites- This consists of writing product reviews about a specific group of products and pointing them to places like Amazon and Walmart. This is what I like to call one time offers and you’ll only get paid once for making the initial sale.
Once you start getting more traffic to your site and you start gaining traction you can expect your sales to skyrocket and your profits to increase.
3. E-Commerce Sites- This is a totally different kind of websites and the complete opposite of the other 2 methods I ‘ve shared with you guys above.
With affiliate marketing, you’ll be directing your traffic to the vendor’s site to make their purchase. However, with an E-commerce site, your customers will be purchasing your products right from your site.
In some cases, you’ll need to have your own products to sell, but there are drop shipping companies you can join where you can purchase products at wholesale and sell them at retail.
This is also a little more advanced and not something you should attempt until you have a basic understanding of how to sell other peoples products before you contemplate selling your own.
How Much Money Can Be Made From Blogging?
This is a question that unfortunately only YOU can answer due to the fact that all of this is riding on your shoulders. How successful you are, depends on how much work you put in and ultimately how much of an effort you make at learning this stuff.
What I can tell you, though, is that the sky is the limit as to the income potential that’s available. If you’re willing to put the work in, it will definitely start to pay off for you in the long run.
In the 3+ years that I’ve been doing this I have grown my income to 4 figures and this continues to go up the more I work at it.
Also, you should never feel alone when creating your first blog because you’ll have an entire community of help and support right at your fingertips and I will also be there to help you out every step of the way.
Blogging has got to be one of the most rewarding careers I’ve ever had in my entire life. It has changed my life in so many ways that I couldn’t begin to count them all.
Like I said before, my only regrets are that I wish I would have discovered it earlier than I did. What are you waiting for? Get started creating your first blog today.
