One of the most popular high ticket coaching schemes has finally been shut down by the FTC.
On Thursday, February 8th the FTC obtained a court order to shut down this high ticket scheme which has scammed a multitude of people out of millions of dollars.
What seemed like the answer to their financial troubles and a way out for some has become a horrific nightmare for people who were foolish enough to buy into this scheme.
The company owner, Michael force, which is also a former marine is being sued for 14 million dollars and has been ordered to appear in court.
In the following post, I’ll be showing you exactly what Digital Altitude was and how they operated as well as how for you to avoid similar cookie-cutter websites that operate in the same way.
What Exactly Is Digital Altitude?
Back in June of 2016 I did a thorough review of this so called business opportunity which you can check out here.
In a nutshell, this is another 1 of the many companies out there that claim you can build a 6 figure business in 90 days or less.
What exactly would you be doing?
Their entire system is based on recruiting and in order for you to earn any money with this system you would need to purchase levels and ultimately go “All In” just to have a chance at being successful with this business.
Their program 6 steps to 6 figures make some pretty bold claims which state that you can do this in 90 days or less.
Anyone that makes such outlandish and ridiculous claims should be personally put under a microscope to see just how legit they really are.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally possible for you to earn 6 figures or more online but it’s going to take you a whole heck of a lot longer than 90 days.
This could take years before you’re even close to making a 6 figure income and this is why most people never even earn their first $1 online.
This is due to the fact that they’re looking to get rich quick and aren’t willing to make a long term commitment that’s required to build a real business online.
It’s All About Recruiting
Like I said earlier, in order for you to qualify to earn any of these high ticket commissions you’ll need to recruit your aunt Mary and Uncle Jim and spam the shit out of your friends and colleges on social media.
However, before you can do any of this guess what you’ll need to do first?
Remember the 6 steps to 6 figures program that I mentioned above?
Well, you’ll need to buy into these 6 steps to acquire the resell rights to sell them to your friends, family, and anyone else that you can convince to join though you.
This starts out at $37 and can get as expensive as $30,000 or more!!
According to the FTC, they have charged consumers up to $50,000 for a single membership level.
These are the types of programs that make me sick to my stomach as they give the online marketing industry a bad name.
Any company that is recruiting based and requires you to invest thousands of dollars to promote their system should be avoided like the plague and have you running in the other direction.
No Tangible Products
Any type of MLM/ Pyramid/ Ponzi scheme that doesn’t offer any actual products and is based on recruiting other members into the company is illegal in all 50 states.
This is a direct violation of the FTC Act and the reason why so many companies of this nature get shut down.
Instead of products, you’ll be investing in so called high ticket coaching & educational retreats to exotic locations.
Very similar to programs like Empower Network & MOBE, Digital Altitude operates in about the same way.
Back In August, EN was officially shut down for good and many others have followed suit since then with more to follow.
One of the ones that I predict to be next is MOBE. This has got to be one of the worst ones out there that I have reviewed in my 5 + years as an online marketer.
Somehow they have managed to fly under the radar for quite some time now and I can’t wait to see them crash and burn next.
Some of them don’t even make it past 6 months while others (Like MOBE) are able to fly under the radar for years without getting caught.
Don’t Buy Into The Hype
Since these programs don’t offer anything of value they need to hype them up and market them to people who’re looking to get rich quick doing little to no work.
It’s sad that there are people out there that would rather earn a living deceiving people and take advantage of their ignorance instead of providing them with quality training that shows them the proper way to build a business online.
If I told you that I could guarantee that you could earn 6 figures in under 90 days would you believe me?
What if I then told you that you would need to pay me up to $50 grand for me to teach this skill to you?
Would you still be interested?
Hopefully, you answered no to this question but sadly there are millions of people out there that are willing to pay this type of money just for a chance to make this type of income.
Pretty sad, isn’t it?
Did You Get Scammed By Digital Altitude?
If you have then I’m sorry to hear this and my heart goes out to you. However, on the bright side, I would advise you to contact their support and try to get a refund.
Michael is being sued for the 14 million dollars that many people were scammed out of so there is a good chance that you could get your money back.
You’re lured in with the claims that you’ll earn 6 figures in 90 days which is pure nonsense and not realistically possible, especially if you’re a newbie who is just getting started and is living on a limited budget.
Due to the massive investment that’s required and the need for you to recruit people in order to earn money, your chances of being successful are slim to none.
Starting An Online Business Shouldn’t Cost $50,000
I have said this I don’t know how many time and I’ll continue saying it for as long as I need too.
Recruiting people and trying to buy your way into profit is definitely not the way to build a sustainable and long term business.
You also don’t need to pay anywhere close to $50 grand to get started and as a matter of fact, you can even get started for free.
Obviously, you’re going to need to pay some type of a fee to learn how everything works and start making money but this is a drop in the bucket compared to what you would have paid with Digital Altitude.
I pay $49 a month to learn how to build a legitimate business that doesn’t tell me I’ll earn 6 figures in under 90 days.
Instead, they tell me that building a business takes lots of hard work, time, and dedication and that I won’t start making money right away.
They also told me that they couldn’t tell me when I would earn my first commission but if I worked hard it would come.
If you’re sick and tired of being scammed by companies like DA and are serious about learning how to build a genuine business that doesn’t require you to recruit people to make money then I think Wealthy Affiliate would be a much better alternative.
After falling for numerous scams and losing hundreds of thousands of dollars I was finally able to find a legitimate company that actually cared more about helping me build a business than they did in taking my money.
If you were scammed by DA then I really do feel for you and I can relate to what you must be going through as I have been there and done that far too many times.
I really hope this post has helped you guys out and given you the necessary information needed to avoid similar programs that are set up in the same manner.
Were you a DA member with a story to share about your experience? Did you lose money with this system or were you scammed?
Share your experience with everyone below!!
I would love to hear all about it and answer any of your questions as well!!
