What Exactly Is Ameriplan?
Ameriplan USA is a worldwide company based out of Plano Texas, that offers discount dental, health care, and prescription plans.
The company was founded back in 1992 by Dennis & Daniel Bloom and to date, there are currently thousands of people who are promoting this system as a business opportunity.
The company specializes in offering discounted healthcare and dental packages as well as discounted hospital stays among many other things.
It’s important for you guys to keep in mind that this isn’t health insurance but simply a discounted health and dental plan for you to save money when going to the doctor/ dentist as well as hospital stays.
Like other systems of this nature, there is also an MLM side of things where you can earn a great deal of money by recruiting other IBO’s (Independent Business Owners) and sales reps into the company.
I’ll be showing you guys exactly how this works, what you’ll be doing if you were to join as well as how much money you’ll need to pay upfront in order to start earning a profit.

When you join, you have the option of choosing a membership level which I will list below:

- Ancillary services that include
- Physical therapy
- Laboratory procedures
- Imaging centers

If you ever need to be hospitalized and it costs more than $2,500 then this plan will help cover the costs of your hospital bill.
This plan costs 49.95 a month.

These perks are available only to Platinum Freedom Pass Members.
This plan costs a whopping $150 a month and covers everyone in your household.
How You Make Money With Ameriplan
Depending on what membership plan you sign up for will determine how much money you can make on each sale. Everything is broken down into a commission scale.
Here’s The Breakdown Of Their Commission Payout
1. $50 platinum plus- This pays you 20% commission on all sales you get. You continue to pay $50 a month until you get enough people signed up under your name, then you will start getting paid when your commissions exceed $50 a month.
2. $75 Total Platinum- Here you have the chance to make a 30% commission on all sales you get. Like I mentioned above until you exceed the $75 in sales needed for that month you will be paying the difference. You will start earning money for any sales that exceed $75 a month.
3. $150/month Platinum Freedom Pass- You will earn a 40% commission on all sales you get when you enroll under this package. Once again you’ll need to exceed $150 in sales for the month before you start to earn money.
There Are 2 Ways You Can Market This Business Opportunity
1. The Business Model- When you join Ameriplan you will have the opportunity to get other people to join under you and do the same thing you are doing. The way it works is they tell you to post help wanted ads on craigslist and other job-related board sites.
When people contact you about the job offers you will direct them to your personalized website and tell them to fill out the contact form and request an interview with you over the phone.
Once they request an interview you’ll need to call them at the number they provided and try to sell them this discounted health and dental packages (The bait).
You will need to be constantly recruiting other people into this company and this is the main way you make money with them.
2. Selling The Healthcare And Dental Packages- You can choose to only sell the dental and healthcare package, or you can do both of them.
Mostly all of this is done over the phone, you have to purchase a list of leads and randomly call people up and tell them what you have to offer.
I failed to find any actual training on how to strictly promote their health and dental plans. Their training is focused on primarily promoting the recruiting side of the business.
Who Is Ameriplan USA For?
Ameriplan is for anyone looking to start up a business of their own and would like to help people who don’t have health insurance or a dental plan.
It is also ideal for stay at home moms who are looking to make extra income. If you enjoy talking on the phone for hours at a time and are cool with cold calling and hard selling then Ameriplan could be a good fit for you.
Are Tools And Training Provided?
The back office has everything you need to get started and I will list everything that you have access to below:
- 1 Free personalized and fully automated website
- Live training calls every Tuesday evening at 8 pm Eastern Standard time.
- Various training modules to help you gain more leads and grow your upline/ downline
- Phone scripts that you can use when replying to your ads and when calling people on your list
Does Ameriplan Offer Any Support?
- You can keep in direct contact with your recruiter and ask them any questions that you have
- There is also an FAQ page where you can go to get answers to questions that have already been answered
These are the 2 main ways of receiving support from this company.
Pros Vs Cons
Pros:
- The discount dental and various healthcare options are great for anyone who doesn’t have insurance.
- If you are the type of person who loves talking on the phone and can sell strangers stuff over the phone this is a great opportunity for you to make some really good money.
- The telephone support and training you are offered is great.
- They have many different incentive programs to try and get you motivated to make more sales.
Cons:
- In order to use the discounts for the healthcare and dental plans you have to go to someone in their network or they won’t cover the cost.
- Hard to find doctors or dentists that accept Ameriplan (their network of doctors/dentists is not as large as they say it is)
- If you don’t like to talk on the phone or if you are not a salesman then this opportunity is definitely not for you.
- There have been several complaints that after you have built up a pretty huge income for yourself, the company will terminate you under a no cause contract. This means that they can terminate you at any time for no reason.
- They say backed up by the BBB (Better Business Bureau) but when you check them out there are over 200 negative reviews about this company.
- It is set up like a lot of pyramid schemes and is pretty much an MLM company.
The Price To Join Ameriplan
Like I have mentioned above you can get started anywhere from $12.95-$150.00 a month along with a 19.95 yearly fee that is included with your start up costs.
How does This Company Stack Up To The Program That Has Helped Me Go Full Time In The Online World In Less Than A Year? Let’s Take A Look!!
My Closing Thoughts On Ameriplan
Ameriplan is not for everyone, I joined and was only with the company for about 2 months. The main focus of the company is to get you to sign up other members under your name.
It seems to me like they just use the prescription, healthcare and, dental as the bait and once you join they hook you with their MLM scheme.
If you are not comfortable with the idea of cold calling and hard selling to people over the phone, along with trying to get people to join your downline/upline then this opportunity is not for you.
However, if you love the idea of cold calling and hard selling and this doesn’t bother you then you will probably fit in well with Ameriplan.
Like I mentioned above, In the whole 2 months, I was with this company I couldn’t find any training on how to sell the discount healthcare products.
If you are a salesperson and love talking on the phone this could be a great way to make some decent money.
I personally don’t like talking on the phone especially to someone I don’t know and try to sell them something.
I would also be really careful when joining, in the past few years, there have been complaints of them terminating you for no reason whatsoever as you will see if you read the comments below this review.
My Personal Recommendation
If you are looking for a 100% true work at home opportunity with no risk involved and a chance to build a real future for yourself.
I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate I have learned so much from them in the 5+ years that I have been with them. I would highly recommend you check them out. You can get started for Free with no strings attached.
Is Ameriplan USA Really A Scam Or Not?
Is Ameriplan a scam?
Based on my experience I had with them I wouldn’t say they are a scam.
As with any MLM company, there are many people making good money with this company and others that are not.
It just seems risky, and it’s not something I would feel comfortable recommending to you guys.
Are you currently a member of Ameriplan, or have you been thinking about joining but still on the fence?
Maybe you have been a member in the past and want to share your experience with other people?
I would love to hear about it and I know everyone else would as well. Be as detailed as possible and leave it within the comment section below.
I will reply back to you A.S.A.P
I really hope this review has helped everyone out today and has given you some insights into what exactly you will be getting yourself into before joining.

I have just paid into Ameriplan and having second thoughts. I paid my $99.95 for start up costs and for my plan that i doubt I will use anytime soon. I have a job I work and also get my Social Security but I feel I need a better quality of life at my age than to go to a job that I don’t enjoy doing and I much would rather stay at home and enjoy my life instead of what I am doing now. And yes, it is also on the telephone all day long and sometimes the calls are back to back. It’s quite stressful at times. My question: If I decide to not go through with my now obligation to Ameriplan, is there a refund? I didn’t really have the funds to invest in a plan that I won’t be using to begin with. Another question is: I tried Wealthy Affiliates once but it didn’t work out for me either. I just didnt’ have what it took to be successful at it. Is there some type of legit Work at Home jobs that are available for people of my age without having to do alot of calling or blogging? I know I would never be able to make it on my Social Security alone since I do live alone and have no other type of income. I thought that I would reach out to you to see if you knew of something that I could look into. I’m almost “searched out” you might say. Thank you for your time and I look forward to seeing your response.
Scott Newkirk
Hello Patti,
Thank you so much for dropping by and sharing the experience that you’ve had with Ameriplan with everyone here today. I can definitely relate to you having second thoughts on joining Ameriplan as I felt the same way shortly after I joined them back in 2012.
Going to a job that you can’t stand and are only there to collect a paycheck can be really stressful and lower your quality of life drastically.
If your job is currently telemarketing and requires you to be on the telephone a whole lot then I honestly don’t think Ameriplan would be a good fit for you as there are much better alternatives out there.
Since the primary way for you to recruit other people into Ameriplan is by telephone then I don’t think you would feel comfortable calling up complete strangers and pitching them on the business opportunity.
Would, you?
To answer your question about getting a refund, I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to receive a refund. When I quit the program, they sent me a full refund, you’ll just need to request it when you cancel your account.
I’m sorry to hear that you tried Wealthy Affiliate but failed to be successful with it. WA definitely isn’t for everyone as it takes a ton of hard work, motivation, determination, and be willing to do whatever it takes to make it.
There are many different kinds of work from home jobs that I have covered on this website and I’ll list a few recommendations for you to try out below.
User Testing
Mystery Shopper Jobs
Teaching English Online
Take Surveys Online
Also, another one that you might want to consider is dropshipping. I don’t currently have any info on this just yet but I do plan on writing a detailed blog post on this soon so make sure and keep your eyes peeled for it.
Believe it or not, I actually earn close to $20 to $30 a week from survey sites and I have linked the top 5 that pay the most so if this interests you I recommend that you check it out.
Let me know if any of these opportunities would work out for you and if not I’ll search for a few others and send them your way. I hope this helps answer your questions Patti and if you have any further questions please let me know and I would be more than happy to answer them for you.
Cheers

Ameriplan USA for the billionth time IS NOT INSURANCE! I don’t know why people keep saying it’s insurance. It’s a DISCOUNT program where you save on services and not have to pay full price. I used to sell this discount program and it’s legitimate and not a scam. If you can get people to remove the word “insurance” out their head then it probably wouldn’t be so many complaints. When I started I was warm calling and when you run out of warm calling then you have to start doing foot work. That’s really why I don’t like MLM businesses. However this can be a great “at home business” if you’re willing to put in the work. The problem today is people want income at the drop of a dime and they don’t want to work hard at anything so they give up. It’s harder to own your own business than to work for someone else. I know because my husband and I own a franchise house cleaning service for 17 years and it’s driving me crazy. It’s very stressful having to clean houses when employees don’t show up. Now that medical insurance is too expensive for me, and I can’t afford it as well as lots of people, this might be a good time to get back with Ameriplan USA. I use a discount plan for CareNow and all I pay is $20 a month for my whole family if I need medical services and my visit is only $68 compared to $185. And plus I get discounts on other services. So I know that Ameriplan can benefit me with dental and other services and a lot of people as well as myself. And it doesn’t matter what you get into WA or any MLM or franchise etc. you are going to work hard to be successful and success does not come over night. God Bless you all in your endeavors.
Rich
I’ve read a few of these comments on here and I’d like to add my 2cents worth… I just joined this BEW and may join the AmeriPlan also… now if anyone can read and I’ve even talked to the owner himself you don’t do any person to person calls.
They do it for you there’s no chasing numbers or anything like that. It’s all taken care of. And as far as the insurance goes check with your family doctor or nearby hospital and see if they honor that type of insurance.
If they do then get it if you can afford it. And as far as Wealthy Affiliate goes I was in that Affiliate and had a hard time understanding what they were talking about…
I was paying 49.95 a month for basically just a chat room to talk to others who are members. Then after talking to other members most of them said it took over 6 months to a year to basically make a dollar… 6 months to a year after your paying out 49.95 a month.
Now I don’t know about you or anyone else but I’d like to make money now not wait a year or so… Yes, I’ll agree BEW and AmeriPlan are set up like a Pyramid Scheme but hey if I can make a dollar today or tomorrow and not have to wait 6 months to a year I’m all for it.
Plus don’t put all your eggs in one basket get in Social Media money Making groups and ask what’s out there. No one said you had to make money with just one system get in a couple and have a backup plan.
That’s all I have to say about that. Wealthy Affiliate to me is for more independent Business Owners and people who know how to set up websites and BEW is generated more to guys like me who don’t mind copying/pasting ads and spinning the wheel on the slot machine and seeing what happens.
Goodluck to everyone out there hope we all get a piece of the pie sooner or later. Take care.!!!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Rich and thanks for dropping by and adding your 2 cents to this conversation. What are you referring to when you say BEW? When I was with Ameriplan back in 2013 the main way of getting leads was by cold calling and hard selling over the phone.
I do still keep up with them from time to time and as far as I know, you still need to do a fair amount of cold calling.
If any company out there tells you that they will do all the work for you and everything is taken care of usually means its a scam and you should have your guard up.
If you think that WA is nothing more than a chatroom then you obviously didn’t even go through any of the training or watch any of the videos. Wealthy Affiliate is an online business training center where you learn how to build a business online based on a hobby or passion of yours.
If you were to go out in the real world and try to build a brick and mortar business do you think you’re going to make money in a day or two? That doesn’t even make any sense and I don’t know why everyone thinks you should be able to make money fast.
That’s not the way online business works and as long as you think like this you will never see your first $1 online. That is unless you get involved in recruiting schemes or MLM and you might make money if you’re willing to invest.
If you think 6 months to a year is too long to wait before you make your first sale then I don’t think you’re cut out for the online business world.
There are some businesses that don’t make a sale or turn a profit for several years and this is the norm for any business no matter where it’s located.
As far as paying $49.95 a month this is a small fraction to pay in exchange for everything you have access to in the member’s area. You literally have all the tools, training, and help and support to build a business for less than a cup of coffee a day.
I wish you all the luck in the world Rich and I hope you find something out there that makes you happy and earns you lots of money.
Thanks again for stopping by and putting in your 2 cents as you call it.
Cheers

Scott. I joined WA but I don” t understand it- i don’t know what to name as my niche-I Am been reading some of your reviews here on this site-I wanted to join Ameriplan tp get the. Dental ins only-cause I need some dental wprk- how can I find you again? Thanks- –Linda Lopez
Scott Newkirk
Hi Linda,
What exactly didn’t you understand about WA? You should base your niche on a hobby or interest of yours. From there you would need to narrow it down even further to find your target market.
Like you, I also needed some dental work done and figured I would join Ameriplan to get the discounted dental insurance. However, once I started calling around to the local dentists in my area, I found out that they had never heard of Ameriplan before and wouldn’t accept it.
I have also talked with many other people who faced this same problem and they have shared their experience here within this review. Depending on where you’re located will determine whether Ameriplan is accepted where you live or not.
If you have already joined WA you can find me there under the screen name Scottdogg187.
Also feel free to shoot me an email if you would like. I’ll be more than happy to help you out and answer any questions you have.
I really want to thank you for dropping by Linda and chiming in on this topic of discussion.
It’s much appreciated!

I called a month ago and spoke to customer service about canceling my membership. You took money out of my account 3 times in November!
Why?
Also, 2 times in December,!!
I want my money back, my account balance is 0 and will stay at 0 Balance.
I want you to return my money, I already have my bank investigating you, they know I want out and they will not send you any more money.
CANCEL ME OUT BEFORE I CALL THE BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL, I PROMISE I WILL DO THIS.
NOBODY IN MY AREA ACCEPTS YOUR INSURANCE, SO WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING I CANNOT USE?
I SIGNED UP WITH NICOLE, AND I WANT OUT!!
I HAD NO TRAINING WHAT SO EVER, AND YOU STILL TAKE MY MONEY.
TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS, AMERIPLAN IS A SCAM THEY JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NEVER DO WHAT THEY SAY.
THEY JUST KEEP TAKING YOUR MONEY. AMERIPLAN IS THE BIGGEST SCAM ARTIST ON THE INTERNET.

I would like more info on this and how to get started please.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Brittany,
I’m glad that this review has helped you out and given you the information needed to avoid being scammed from yet another MLM pyramid scheme. There are many programs that will show you how to become successful in the online world but unfortunately, Ameriplan isn’t one of them. If you’re looking for an honest and risk free way to learn how to make money online, I would highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate.
This is where I got my start in the online world and the reason why I have become so successful over the past 4 years. They make it super easy for anyone to get started by offering their Free Starter Membership. You’ll be able to check out everything they have to offer before deciding if this is something you would be interested in doing before making any commitments.
I want to thank you for dropping by Brittney and letting me know how much this review has helped you.

Onjule
First Scott, no disrespect but anything you try for two months & quit, you didn’t give a chance, 2nd you didn’t do well because you didn’t put your ALL in that’s why you quit so soon. AmeriPlan like other work from home businesses is not for everyone & there is NO cold calling.
As far as the medical benefits yes you have to advertise, part of the WORK from home. You are hyping up your Wealthy Affiliate. Just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s a scam. It’s no different from YOUR business, just like life, you get what you put in. Two months is nothing, that’s WHY you did NOT succeed. One thing for sure, life is about taking chances.
Scott Newkirk
Hello there and thanks for stopping by!
1 of the main reasons why I quit after 2 months was due to the fact that the primary way for you to acquire leads and market this business opportunity to other people was through cold calling. I’m not exactly sure how their training is setup now, but back in 2012, this was the only way to get people to sign up.
I’m sure that not much has changed and many other people have also told me that they do still require you to do lots of cold calling.
People like you who obviously don’t mind calling up a complete stranger and trying to convince them into buying a discount health care plan could do quite well with this.
I didn’t just give up after 2 months because I wasn’t willing to put in the time, hard work and dedication needed to make it work for me. I completely understand it takes time in order to be successful with anything.
I’m in no way hyping up Wealthy Affiliate, but rather recommending this as an alternative for people looking to build something of value and learn the proper way to build a business online. Due to my own personal experience with Ameriplan, I wouldn’t call them a scam and you would have known this if you read my review.
However, I’m glad that I never did get serious about this company because there are many people who’s experience wasn’t as good as mine.
There are many people who were with Ameriplan for close to 10 years and were making over $100k per year and they were terminated for no reason under a no clause contract that you are required to sign before you join.
This doesn’t sound like the type of company I want to be associated with and I sincerely hope that this doesn’t happen to you. I’m glad that you have been able to find success with this company and thanks again for dropping by.
Cheers
~Scott~
Merlyn
Hey Britney,
I moved up the ranks with Ameriplan and was doing pretty well when out of the blue, they TERMINATED me and my monthly residual income. I know people who were making well over $100000.yr they terminated without explanation. The Bloom twins should be in prison.
Cheryl Normandin
I was just about to sign up with Ameri plan and I am looking for a work from home business.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Cheryl,
I’m glad that you were able to find my review and that I was able to give you an inside look at what you would be getting yourself into before making a decision that you would likely regret later on.
If you don’t mind cold calling and hard selling then you could possibly do well with Ameriplan. However, if you’re like me and would rather do something a little more laid back then I think that Wealthy Affiliate would possibly be a much better fit for you.
If you’re looking to start up a work from home business based on something you’re passionate about or a hobby of yours then this opportunity would fit you well.
If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity I encourage you to create your Free Starter Account Here and see for yourself if this is something you would be interested in doing before making any commitments or investing any of your hard earned money.
I will also be there to help you every step of the way and answer any questions you may have Cheryl. I want to thank you for stopping by today and please let me know if you have any other questions or need my help.
Cheers

Monica
Hello and thank you for the Ameriplan review. You stopped me from wasting my time. Could you please tell me how you found your niche with Wealthy Affiliate. I came across them a couple of weeks ago, and it looked like a legitimate business. I am interested in them, but don’t know where to begin. Please feel free to call or email me, or leave a comment on this site. Thanks so much.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Monica,
I’m so glad that I was able to help you from wasting your time and your hard earned money with Ameriplan. I have just sent you a detailed email about how to find your niche as well as some information about Wealthy Affiliate. Hi Scott, I just submit my interview form with Ameriplan. I wish I would have read your experience with them. Well, I am a stay home mom and looking for a home based job. I also checked Wealthy Affiliate site and I couldn’t get anything that will tell what kind of work they offer. I hate making calls and talking to strangers. Please, If you can tell me the type of work and how to start and how much to start with Wealthy Affiliate? I would really appreciate it. so, I can make my decision before they call me. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your review.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Wind,
I wish you would have read my review before you submitted your interview with Ameriplan. If you aren’t comfortable with cold calling and you hate talking to strangers then I definitely don’t think Ameriplan would be a good fit for you. This is the main way that you’ll be producing leads and getting people to buy from you. At least from my experience it was and I’m sure things haven’t changed much.
I would love to tell you more about Wealthy Affiliate and give you an idea of what you’ll be doing before you join. This is more of a business opportunity then it is a job. WA shows you how to take your hobbies or the things you are passionate about and turn them into a business doing something you love.
This consists of 4 steps
1. Picking a topic of interest (hobby)
2. Building a website around this topic
3. Attract an audience (Traffic)
4. Turn that traffic into sales
I have been with them for over 3 years now and they showed me how to build this very website that you’re visiting right now. I now make a 4 figure income each month from following their training and taking action on what I learned.
There step by step training is easy to follow and they have tasks for you to complete at the end of each lesson.
I like to think of it as an online training center. They provide you with all the training, tools, and help and support needed to build, run and successfully grow your business. There is absolutely no cold calling required and you don’t ever have to talk to strangers or anyone for that matter. Like you, I also hate cold calling and talking to strangers so I can totally relate to what you’re saying here.
WA makes it really easy for you to get started with their free starter membership. This includes everything you need to get started and you can try out everything they have to offer for $0 before making the decision to upgrade to their more advanced training. I would highly advise you to get started by creating your Free Starter Account Here
Simply enter a valid email address and create a username and password and you’re in.
I will also be there to help you every step of the way and answer any questions you may have getting started. I really am looking forward to working with you Wind and if you have any other questions please let me know.
I’m so glad that you enjoyed my review Wind and I hope to talk with you soon!
Cheers

Thank You so much. I already sign up for the account. How do I setup the website? Also, how many hours requires to work per week and how much you’ll make approximately?
Scott Newkirk
You are most welcome wind!
I’m glad that you have created your account and that you’re anxious to get started setting up your website. The training walks you through this and shows you how to setup your website. By the end of lesson 4, you should have your website up and running and ready to add content to it. There are no minimum time requirements that you would need to spend on this per day. The training was designed for you to go through it at your own pace. Starting out you should try and spend at least 1 hour working on this each day.
The more time you spend on this the better!
This is not a job where you’ll get paid for a certain amount of hours. How much you’ll make is totally up to you. Depending on how much time you spend working on this will determine how much money you’ll make with it. I hope this helps answer your questions wind and please let me know if you have any other questions or need my help.
Cheers

Christy
Scott, I also was going to sign up with Ameriplan. YOU SAVED ME. Can you please fill me in also on this Wealthy Affiliates? I work full time and am finding it very difficult to find a part time job that will work with my full time schedule.
Thank you so much,
Christy
Scott Newkirk
Hi Christy,
I’m so glad that I was able to help you out and save you from getting sucked into another MLM pyramid scheme. I would be more than happy to give you some detailed information as to how Wealthy Affiliate works, and answer any further questions that you may have.
One of the things I love about this opportunity the most is the fact that you can do this in your spare time and there are no minimum number of hours that you’re required to put in each week. You will get out of this business what you put into it and if you can only devote a couple hours to this each day that’s perfectly fine.
What you’ll be doing when you join is picking a hobby or interest of yours and building a website around it.
What are a few things that you’re passionate about Christy?
This consists of 4 main steps which I’ll list for you below
1. Pick a hobby or interest
2. Build a website around this hobby
3. Learn how to attract visitors
4. Learn how to earn revenue from these visitors
This is basically what you would be doing but there is a whole lot more to it than that but as you start going through the training this will be explained to you in more detail. I really hope this has helped you out and has given you a general idea of what you would be doing once you join.
I think WA would fit in just fine with your full time schedule as you can work on in your free time.
If you have any other questions for me please let me know Christy.
Cheers
~Scott~
Frances Harty
Hi scott
Can you tell me more about wealthy affiliate program. I want to work from home and dont like selling products and talking on the phone. And i read your review with ameriplan and want to get out of my job that i have to talk on the phone. I just want to have more freedom and time and also make a better income for me and my daughter. Just need to know that this is not a scam
Scott Newkirk
Hi Frances,
Yes, I would love to tell you more about Wealthy Affiliate and give you some insight into what you would be doing prior to joining.
When you join WA you’ll be learning how to create a website based on a hobby or interest of yours. There is step by step training on how to set this up, write content, and get your website listed in the search engines.
I have taken a few minutes to break all of this down for you into 4 easy steps
Pick A Hobby Or Interest
Build A Website Around This Hobby
Learn How To Generate Visitors (Traffic)
Learn How To Generate Revenue (Sales) From Your Visitors
If this sounds like something you would be interested learning more about then I would highly recommend that you check WA out for yourself and see what they can do for you.
There would be no talking on the phone and all of the work would be done online. It’s free to get started and everything you need to get up and running is included in your starter package.
Also, if building a website isn’t your thing and you would rather work from home teaching kids from China the English language and earn up to $22 an hour, then you should check out VIPKID as an alternative.
You can rest assured that neither one of these programs are scams and they are 100% legit.
I really hope this has helped you out Frances and answered your questions. If you have any other questions please let me know.
Cheers

I want to cancel my membership! couldn’t speak to someone without hearing please touch #so and so. You’re not making it easy to do this. Please e-mail a form to fill out to cancel my monthly membership and cancel the withdraw from my bank account!!
Thank You
Karen
I was with Wealthy Affiliate and found that it was costing me more and more money to get started. I am not great at writing reviews and had issues finding my niche.
with Ameriplan, I only pay my membership every month and all my ads are on free sites only as well as I get free leads. There is no pressure to sell, just respond by email to those responding to my ads. Either they are a fit or not.
After I make my first $2000 over cost of living expenses, I probably still would not go back to Wealthy Affiliate. It just is not my cup of tea but AmeriPlan is. With everything, you have to plan to work and work the plan.
Scott Newkirk
Hello Karen,
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your honesty. Wealthy Affiliate is definitely not for everyone and I can totally understand that some people aren’t that great at writing reviews. I can also totally relate to you having a hard time narrowing down your niche and finding one that will work out for you the best.
Personally for me, It took me 3 niche’s before I was able to find one that would work for me and one that I could make money with. I’m not exactly sure how it was costing you more and more money to get started since you can get up and running for $0 and everything you need is included in your free starter membership. Unless you were paying for extra services that you didn’t need then that’s the only way I could see this happening.
As for Ameriplan, I’m thrilled that you’re having success with them and like I said in my review many people are making money with them. Ameriplan just wasn’t my cup of tea because I’m not a fan of cold calling and when I was a member, that was the main way that you got leads. Like you, I also tried putting my ads on free sites and they always were flagged and removed.
I’m also not much of a salesman and I wasn’t comfortable calling up complete strangers and trying to sell them discounted healthcare packages. With Wealthy Affiliate, there is no selling involved and instead of calling people up and trying to sell them something, people come to me who are already looking to buy.
The only thing I have to do is provide them with the information they’re looking for, and point them in the right direction. I find this a whole lot easier than Ameriplan but to each it’s own. I 100% agree with you Karen that you need to plan to work and work the plan just like with any business opportunity out there.
Thanks for dropping by and chiming in on this discussion and sharing your views on this. They are much appreciated.
Cheers
~Scott~
Whitney
Hello, I was just on a phone interview with them as I were looking for reviews and I seen yours first. Thank you Scott.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Whitney,
I’m so glad that you have done your due diligence by looking for reviews on Ameriplan before you made any drastic decisions that you may regret later on. As you can see from many of the comments below this definitely isn’t a company you want to get involved with. I personally wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy due to the many factors I have pointed out within my review.
There are a whole lot better programs out there that will show you how to build something of value that you own vs spending years building up your own mini empire and having it taken away from you for no reason under Ameriplan’s no cause contract that you are required to sign before you join.
I really hope that my review has given you all the information needed to avoid this program and saved you from wasting your hard earned money on it. I really do appreciate you stopping by and sharing this info with me.
I really appreciate it Whitney
Your Friend, Scott
Anna D
Scott – your review is outdated and incorrect on many levels. You wrote this in 2013. Companies change. Structure changes. And so do people.
You’re grid of comparison is also incorrect.
If you are going to post a review of a company from 3 years ago, then be sure to update your review annually with accurate information. People are looking to you for guidance. Your experience with a company 3 years ago ( and for only 2 months) is not what you would experience today, this I can guarantee.
For those looking for information – yes, this is a MLM company with very little start up costs. You do not have to cold call and hard sell. There are no parties to host. There is no inventory or stock to purchase. You don’t need to burn out your family and friends with plastic containers, make up, purses and candles. There is something for everyone at Ameriplan. There is no pressure. And there is intense training and support for all new IBOs.
You don’t get dismissed when you make a lot of money. That’s an asinine statement – why would a company get rid of you for making THEM money?? Now there have been people who worked and made great $$ with Ameriplan but became greedy, deceptive and fraudulent. This violates the Ameriplan TOS. You will get canned when you misrepresent the company. That happens everywhere with every company.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone working from home or looking to supplement an existing income.
But better than all the above, Ameriplan is a company that helps others offset health costs. It’s not insurance nor does it replace insurance. It’s a discount healthcare plan that helps with costs the affordable health care act screwed middle class and below income earners.
This is my recommendation and how I chose to work with Ameriplan. I have a lifelong illness that is too expensive to manage. I became involved with Ameriplan ONLY to offset my own medical expenses. But instead of just acquiring the health plan, I became an IBO for an additional one time $30. Based on what Aneriplan would do for me I knew I would be talking about it all the time. And I was right.
After acquiring a $30,000 plus hospital bill, Ameriplan was able to reduce my out of pocket cost to $2987.00. And my prescription costs were $16,000 every 10 weeks. My Ameriplan benefits reduced that to $1800.00.
And since I tell everyone of these benefits and my personal experiences (showing the bills when requested) many want what I have. And they get it because they now work with Ameriplan. End result – I can afford the reduced costs now, too.
Win win for everyone who wants to live happy with out wondering how the medical bills will be paid.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Anna,
I agree that my review may need to be updated a bit due to the fact that it’s close to being 3 years old, but for the most part, everything contained in this review is true and accurate. I also agree with you that companies can change as well as people. What I don’t agree with you about is the fact that companies stick to the same structure. If you are a MLM company you may change a lot of things but 1 thing that you stay true to is your structure.
Like I said before, I feel that my review is still accurate of this company and if you even took the time to read my review you would know that this wasn’t that much of a negative review. I’m only stating the facts and the experience that I’ve had with this company. As you see below there have been many, many, people who have had a pretty bad experience with this company.
They require you to sign a no cause contract before you join which you have probably signed as well. There have been a few people who have left their experience below concerning this and I don’t think they have any reason to lie about this. I personally knew someone who was a member of Ameriplan and they let him go for NO REASON once he was making good money so this does happen quite often whether you want to believe it or not.
I’ll tell you why they do this- If someone is making 90K a year like this guy was below in my comments. If they terminated him then guess what? They’re now $90K richer than they were before.Think about it! This is wrong on so many levels and I’m glad that I didn’t stick with them any longer than I did.
I’m glad that you are having lots of success with Ameriplan and like I said in my review, there are many people who are cut out for this type of work and they are making lots of money with them. At the same time, there are many people who aren’t comfortable with cold calling and hard selling which is REQUIRED and the main way that you market this opportunity. You need to tell the truth here not just half of it.
As far as the discount plan, I had no use for it at all and it didn’t work for me. You have to go somewhere that’s within their network or you can’t use the discounts. Who wants to change their doctor just to be able to save a few bucks? I never had to use their hospital or any of the other benefits, but if they’re anything like the discounted health care plan, then they wouldn’t be of much use to me either. In the whole time I was with them there was very little focus on the discounted health plans and more on recruiting other people into the company.
This is what I call just having a product to stay on the legal side of things.
You pretty much need to call up complete strangers and try and sell them discounted health care plans. Good luck with that! In my business, I have people who come to me looking for information and all I do is provide them with the facts. whether you want to admit it or not, Ameriplan involves doing lots of cold calling and hard selling if you want to make any decent money with them at all. Which one sounds better to you?
I’m glad that they were able to save you some money on your hospital visit money and that this opportunity is really working well for you. I want to thank you for stopping by today Anna and sharing your experience with everyone.
Cheers
Scott
Kim Scharnweber
Anna, if your still following Scott, then please answer this question about Ameriplan? Is it true that these free
IBO’s are getting kicked off These free add sites where the IBO are placing their advertisements to try to get people sign up for the
HC discount plan?
To Scott, if your still there, my question to you is DID YOU REACH OUT TO ANYONE for help with this?
Thanks,
Kim.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Kim,
If you’re referring to getting help and support, Yes, I was in constant contact with my recruiter on a daily basis. She was a really good trainer and showed me exactly what I needed to do.
However, like I said in my review, cold calling isn’t really my thing and even tho Anna claims that there is no cold calling I know that they still use this because I happen to still be following them on Facebook.
Just the other day I was watching an FB live video from them and they mentioned using phone scripts so I know this is still the case.
If this isn’t what you were referring to please let me know and I would be glad to discuss this further with you.
Cheers

Stormy Hall
Hello Scott. I was getting ready to start with Ameriplan also.
Actually sounded great.
Can you please tell me how i can start making money etc as did sign up with you guys.
Background in customer service/ some sales
Scott Newkirk
Hi Stormy,
Ameriplan sounded really great to me as well when I first started with them and I was really excited when I first joined. However, as I did my research on this company and started digging deeper into how you actually made money, and what kind of work was required, I didn’t like what I found. As you have probably read in my review above and saw in the comments below this isn’t something you want to get mixed up with.
I have had a huge amount of success with the company that I’m with now (Wealthy Affiliate) and I know that you will as well if you simply follow their step by step training and complete the daily tasks at the end of each lesson. The thing I love the most about the business I’m in now is that there’s NO selling involved and people actually come to you looking for information. All you have to do is provide them with what they’re looking for by writing helpful and informative content.
I see that you have signed up tonight and that’s awesome Stormy. I will be sending you more details over the next couple of days that will explain what you’ll be doing and how you actually make money so keep an eye out for it. Thank you so much for stopping by and I really am looking forward to working with you.

I have been trying to get someone to answer my questions about what exactly Ameriplan is and does. No one sending me emails to join has ever replied, so I called the company directly and was told Ameriplan doesn’t even offer medical anymore, only dental. When I stated so all these people advertising are basically not being truthful and not being forthcoming in letting you know exactly what it is you are buying into are lying…I got the phone hung up on me. BUYER BEWARE! THIS IS NOT A COMPANY TO GET INVOLVED WITH! February 9, 2016.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Stephanie,
This is basically a MLM company that sells discounted healthcare and dental plans or, at least, that’s what they did back when I was a member. It doesn’t surprise me at all that you couldn’t get anyone to respond to your emails and inquiries about the company. Due to my experience I’ve had with this company and the fact that the only way you can make money is by recruiting other people, I honestly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone unless you’re cool with doing a bunch of cold calling.
There are much better ways to earn a living online that doesn’t involve cold calling or recruiting other people into a MLM scheme. I really want to thank you for dropping by Stephanie and sharing your experience you’ve had with Ameriplan. It’s greatly appreciated.

In 2008 I was approached to join Ameriplans and so I did but I was too intensely focused on my other business to really pay attention whether it was working or not …recently I was at an Expo and I ran into someone with their brochure and was quick to review it !!!! I have been an Insurance Broker for the past 35 years and made a great deal of dreams happen for my clientele especially when the market crashed twice so I was kind of apprehensive about joining this organization again because I was doing my insurance business again for the people who have placed their trust in me all these wonderful years !!!! Even my wife who has always been at my side told me to be careful …..So I resumed my activities to further care for my clientele and then decided on my own to attend their once a week rally meeting on a chat phone …it seemed to me that all they were interested was in recruit recruit and recruit so slowly but surely I was pushed away from their organization …..all it takes is something so simple as this to destroy a life’s work ….especially when you are working with honesty and loyalty just get pennies in return versus dollars earned ……I wish to “Thank You” for having this opportunity to review your comments plus helping me to stay focused on what I have returned to do and that is help my clientele and not hurt them !!!!!!!!!! as I write these short lines my wife has already typed our cancellation letter and again “Thank You” Louis Godinez and Carmella Dudek
mike stokes
do not i repeat do not join ameriplan or any other affiliated companies. what a ripoff. Unless you really like just throwing away $40, in that case join for all your friends as well. Good luck
Scott Newkirk
Hey Mike,
I have to agree with you that Ameriplan or any other companies that are setup like them are no good and you will be wasting your money. When looking for an online opportunity there are lots of things you need to consider.
This includes:
Do they have a solid training platform?
How’s the help and support?
Do you have to recruit other people into the program to make money?
Are they hiding behind a product and using it to fool you into signing up with them?
Is it easy to contact the owners?
You need to keep all of this in mind when choosing the right program to get involved with online. Unfortunately, Ameriplan fails with all of these points and as you said you will be throwing your money away. It will also cost you a lot more than $40 just for you to get started. I had to pay $70 when I joined and it was a complete waste of money.
However, the internet provides an excellent opportunity for anyone to take something they are passionate about and turn it into a full-time online business. If you have the proper training on how to get this setup then you can be very successful online and make lots of money.
I want to thank you for stopping by Mike and chiming in on this discussion and if I can help you out in any way let me know man.

Yvonne
Thanks Scott for the reviews about this company. There are so many out there that do just what you said take your money and you have nothing. It takes courage to tell others.
Thanks for helping!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Yvonne,
You are most welcome and I’m glad that my review has helped you out and that you have been able to make a sound decision as to whether Ameriplan would be a good fit for you or not. It’s a shame that the majority of companies out there today are only out there to sell you on the dream of making money and offer little to no support in showing you how to actually make money.
I feel like it’s my job to inform everyone out there about these companies and show them just exactly what they are getting involved with before they invest their hard earned money into them. If you really are looking for a way to make money online and are looking for an honest company that will show you how to get started risk free I would highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate.
They are the company responsible for helping me create a full time income in less than a years time and for me to be able to quit my full time job to work from the comfort of my home. I would suggest that you check them out and see if they can help you out as much as they have helped me.
It’s free to get started and I will be there to help you out and answer any questions you may have. I really do want to thank you for stopping by Yvonne and chiming in on this.
Cheers

Casey
Omg I was thinking about joining. There was a work at home ad on GL. And I pretty much couldn’t find information on what it actually was from the person who made the ad or the number they had me call. They kept saying it wasn’t an insurance company and no cold calling. WELL THEN WHAT DO YOU DO?! Ugh. A place where you can’t get answers is not a place I want to give my “start up” money too.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Casey,
I’m so glad that you did your research on this company beforehand and I’m glad that my review has helped you out. They keep telling you there is no cold calling and I fell for this as well. Ameriplan is a company that sells discounted dental insurance plans. The catch is, most dentists don’t accept these plans so you are out the money you paid for this. Once you join you find out really quick that cold calling makes up for around 90% of how you get people to sign up.
I agree with you that if you find it hard to get answers, then this is NOT a company you want to give your start-up money too. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this program to you if you are just getting started online. There are Much Better Options available to you that involves NO cold calling or selling discounted insurance plans that aren’t accepted at most dentists.
over 90% of online money making opportunities limit you as to what products you can sell to actually make money. One of the many things I like about Wealthy Affiliate is that you can build a business based on your hobbies and get paid doing something you love for a change.
It’s free to get started and I will be there to help you every step of the way and guide you down the same path that I went down when I first started out. I want to thank you for stopping by Casey and sharing your experience with everyone here today. This will definitely help other people when they are checking out Ameriplan.
Cheers,

Whew! Thanks so much Scott! I almost did it!! I will check out Wealthy Affiliate. Thank you again!!

Scott Newkirk
You are most welcome Silvia!
I’m glad this review has helped you out and has given you some insight into Ameriplan and that I have been able to save you from being scammed by this company. If you truly are looking for the proper way to build a business that you are in control of then I would highly recommend that you check out Wealthy Affiliate.
Unlike Ameriplan, you won’t be forced to promote products or services that you have no interests in and you can actually pick and chose the ones that you would like to promote. You can actually Get Started For Free and check out everything they have to offer before making the decision to invest in their premium training.
I do want to thank you for stopping by Silvia and letting me know that I saved you the time and money of falling victim to Ameriplan.

carol
can you give me more details about your opinion on Ameriplan
Scott Newkirk
Hey Carol,
If you enjoy cold calling and hard selling then this could be an OK opportunity for you. To be honest with you, I can’t recommend this company to anyone because of all the horror stories I’ve heard from many people on this review, as well as people that I personally know who have lost thousands of dollars to them. I was just lucky enough that I got out when I did and I didn’t lose any money with them.
The only place that I can honestly recommend to you is a company I have been with for over 2 years now. That would be Wealthy Affiliate The thing I like the most about them is that you can get started for FREE no credit card required and gain access to your first 10 lessons on how to make money online. It also comes with all the tools you need to get started online plus you get around the clock 24/7 help and support directly from me as well as the entire community.
I really hope this has helped you out Carol and answered your question. I’m really looking forward to working with you and helping you out in any way I can.
Lori
I’m sorry if everyone is taking your “experience” as per bat-em….I’ve been working with AmeriPlan for over a year and I absolutely love this company!! Find out the facts before jumping and following one persons experiences….if everyone did that how many would work or shop at Walmart or McDonalds? Maybe its the “employee” and not the “employer”. I’m sorry but I believe whole hartedly in this company. It would not have been in business for 23 years now, if it were a bad company it would’nt have lasted 2 years.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Lori,
I’m glad that you are having lots of success with Ameriplan. Like I said in my review, there are many people who love this company including you and they are making good money with them. That’s cool and all, but this requires for you to do a whole lot of cold calling, and let’s face it lots of people aren’t comfortable calling complete strangers on the phone and trying to sell them something.
If you are good at hard selling and you don’t mind cold calling then you could be successful with this program.
Also if you read the comments below, you will see where some guy who was working for Ameriplan for close to 10 years making 90K/ yr, got terminated under a No cause contract that they make you sign when you join. This should be a heads up for you and other people not to get involved with this company. Businesses are built off of reviews and people sharing their experience with other people as you are doing right now and many other people have done below.
I have shopped and worked at both McDonalds and Walmart and I wouldn’t recommend that anyone work for either of these companies based on my experience with them. But guess what? This is only my opinion and it’s up to you if you listen to me or not. Based on my experience I’ve had with Ameriplan along with the other people below I just wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this company to anyone.
I do want to thank you for stopping by and sharing your experience you’ve had with everyone here Lori. It’s greatly appreciated.
To your continued success
Scott
Jennie
Hello Scott! Boy am I glad I found your website!! Like the other commenters, I found Ameriplan when I was looking for a home-based job. I got a call from Kim Blessing, Ameriplan Corporate Recruiter/Trainer, who really sang a good song. All this money available to be made, they would supply leads who had requested info from the company for me to contact, NO COLD CALLING…and on and on. Now she is inundating me with emails.
My husband, who has been a corporate recruiter for 45 years, said they sounded fishy, so he did some research of his own. Told me the majority of reviews of the company were bad, and despite the all the bells and whistles of good things I was told by Kim.
Thanks for reaffirming what we researched and found out on our own, Scott.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Jennie,
I’m glad you was able to find my website and that I was able to save you from getting mixed up with Ameriplan. They do seem to paint a great picture and make everything sound great. They tell you that you won’t be doing NO cold calling and you can make all this money. This couldn’t be further from the truth and once you join their true colors start to show through. I would unsubscribe from all their emails.
I’m so glad that your husband did his due diligence and was able to find out the truth about this company. If you are interested in a real way to learn how to make money online I would suggest that you check out Wealthy Affiliate. They are who showed me how to start up an online business and I owe everything to them.
The best thing about this is that you can get started for Free and experience it for yourself. When you join you will have me as your personal mentor. Over the last couple of years I have helped hundreds of people build a business online and I would love to show you too. I do want to thank you for stopping by Jennie and sharing your experience with everyone here.
This will help other people not to get involved with this company. I really am looking forward to working with you and I hope to talk to you soon.
Your Friend, Scott
Labrit
Scott, I appreciate your kindness to even care enough for others well being and lack of fortune to be scammed into a dead end employment with a company who are not as interested in one’s success. To me it pretty much sounds like they keep you as long as they can, until they use you for all the revenue they possibly can and then just throw you away like yesterday’s trash. I am very cautious about online job searches because I have yet to find one that is legit enough for me.
I am not looking to become rich but I would like something that would make money not so much as an issue for me anymore.I have battled with employment for some years now and quit frankly, I am tired of the same old routine of making a head CEO of a company richer while I along with thousands of other employees get fed the food crumbs that fall off their hefty plates as they sit on resorts in exotic islands! I have been receiving emails from wealthy affiliate for some time now but I am unsure if I want to join due to the fact that I have very little experience with home based jobs at all.
This makes me a target to most and I really do not want to face the shame of being robbed out my hard earned money that is not easy to come by. I will continue to browse around until I find what fits me the best. Again, thank you for this blog and if you have any advice for me that would help I would greatly appreciate the guidance!
Scott Newkirk
Hi there,
I feel that people need to know the truth about these programs before they join them so they don’t get ripped off. This is exactly what they are doing here to some of their long standing members and this is just wrong to do to anyone. I can totally relate to you being cautious when it comes to getting involved in any online business opportunity. I have been scammed numerous times from many, many make money online opportunities out there and lost thousands of dollars as a result.
After I left Ameriplan I stumbled onto Wealthy Affiliate and I was very cautious as well after being scammed from several other business opportunities in the online world. I was only there for a few days before I knew that I had found the real deal. In the 2 years that I have been with them I have learned things that I never thought I would ever learn.
I had also struggled with finding employment and being able to find something that I actually enjoyed doing. This was my main motivation to become successful online and make Wealthy Affiliate work for me. I was the exact same way when I joined WA and I didn’t have the slightest clue as to what I would be doing when I joined or if I could even do the work that was required.
I just knew that I needed to make this work. I followed the training exactly as it was laid out. After lots of hard work, many frustrations and motivation I am proud to say that I do this full time now. I will be there to help you out and guide you every step of the way so you should NEVER feel like you are on your own. My husband was one of those terminated from AmeriPlan for no reason. He did his required “one piece of business” each month. And they still terminated him. At one time, he got up to over $5,000 a month.
We both do various affiliate programs. Mostly for health products and Amazon Affiliates program. No quotas, no requirements to buy, no upfront money, etc…
Since I do health consults, I like having several companies with large amount of health products and equipment available, because each one served requires different product/s, and/or treatment modalities/protocols.
Scott Newkirk
I’m sorry to hear that your husband was one of the many people terminated by Ameriplan. It’s sad that companies like this would let you build up an income of over 5K and then terminate you for no reason.I’m glad that you have both discovered affiliate marketing and are making money promoting various health products and equipment.
I have been involved with the Amazon affiliate program as well and have had pretty good success promoting products from there. There is unlimited potential for anyone to make money promoting products from there.
Thanks so much for dropping by and sharing your experience with Ameriplan with everyone here. Hopefully this will save people from getting involved with this company and help them find a honest and legitimate way to do business online.

joelene
hello scott are you sure you are not trying to build up your own business? by getting all of ameri plans business?
Scott Newkirk
Hi Joelene,
I guess it depends on how you look at it. The whole purpose of this review isn’t to try and build up my business at all as I could care less about that. I would much rather help people like you and many others avoid making a decision that you may regret later on. I’m simply exposing the truth about this company and sharing my personal experience that I’ve had with them along with getting other people to share their experience as well within the comments below.
Many people are having success with this company, but it’s definitely not for everyone and based on my experience and from the many people that have shared their experience I honestly wouldn’t recommend Ameriplan to anyone.
Like I said above there are much better programs out there that will show you how to build a real business online which costs nothing to get started. What have you got to lose seriously? You can think whatever you want Joelene, I’m just presenting you with the facts. I do want to thank you for stopping by and adding your 2 cents even though you don’t agree with me.
Cheers
~Scott~
Luisa
This article helped a ton! I was really considering this program and am so thankful that I read this first before I did anything drastic. It definitely helped!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Luisa,
I’m so glad that I was able to save you from getting involved in another pyramid scheme and regretting it later on. Making money from the internet is possible, you just need to find the right program that’s going to show you the proper way
Soon after I left Ameriplan I started really digging deep and doing lots of research on legitimate ways to make money online and I found Wealthy Affiliate. In the time I have been there I have learned so much and I have been able to quit my job, and make a full time income from the comfort of my own home. If you are interested in a way to make money online from home I can definitely help you out with this.
Thanks so much for stopping by and chiming in on this Luisa and if you need any help getting your online business started or have any questions for me please let me know.

STAY AWAY FROM AMERIPLAN !!!!! It sounds like a real good deal as a client, but as an IBO … NO GO !!! ( If it sounds too good to be true,,,,,) They do not keep their word. They will tell you one thing to get up to sign up, then the office says different. I was just SCREWED out of $40 because the Lady who convinced me to sign up LIED !!! ………..
KATHLEEN FIMOGNARI You are a liar. AmeriPlan has stolen $40 of my tuition money. You swore to me a 30 day money back guarantee. You KNEW I would end up screwed in the long run. HOW DARE YOU TELL ME THAT YOU ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH ME !!!!!!!!!! At least I am true to my word. I promise you this, I will tell the world, in every way I can, what your true colors are. Disappointed in me ??? How do you look at yourself in the mirror daily knowing what you do to people???
Ann Bailey
I had a similar experience with a company that I decided not to follow up on and got a letter from the founder telling me how frustrated he was with me for not following through and not finishing something that I started. I couldn’t believe it. They try to use guilt to make people do what they want. It is called emotional blackmail.
Cynthia
What you say about Ameriplan I will keep in mind while looking for a way to work online. I do know, however, from a friend who works with them, that they do provide their people a lot of training. But that in itself does not mean they are good. How long ago did you leave them? Maybe they added training since then?
Scott Newkirk
Hi Cynthia,
I left Ameriplan in February of 2012. They actually have a good amount of training and you can contact your recruiter at any time if you have questions. The problem that I had with this company is you will have to do lots of cold calling. For some people that may not be a problem, but I just couldn’t see myself doing this.
Another problem that I had with them is, once you start building up a nice residual income for yourself and you have put lots of hours into this, Ameriplan can and will terminate you for no reason whatsoever. Check out some of the comments below from people who has had this happen to them. The one that you should really pay attention to is from a guy who was with the company for close to 10 years.
He was making 90,000.00 a year when they terminated him under a no cause contract. This is in NO WAY at all acceptable to me and I honestly cannot recommend this company to anyone. I am so glad that I got out when I did. About a month after I quit Ameriplan, I found Wealthy Affiliate. In the 2 years that I have been with them I have had a huge amount of success and I have achieved things that I thought wasn’t possible.
If you truly are looking for an honest and legit way to make money online I would suggest that you check them out. You can get started for FREE and try out everything they have to offer at NO RISK whatsoever. I will also be there to offer you my 100% help and support and get you headed in the right direction.
Thanks so much for stopping by Cynthia and adding your thoughts to this discussion. I really am looking forward to working with you and helping you get started online.

Ashlee B. Sure
Reading through this article and the comments is *very* disappointing. So, let me get this straight: you, Scott Newkirk, have opted to sign up with this Wealthy Affiliate (that you *keep* pushing others in the comments section to sign up to do, as well) company and created an “independent” website that is supposed to be *teaching/educating* outsiders on DIFFERENT ways to make money… yet, *aside* from your constant push of Wealthy Affiliate, you have ONLY mentioned *one* other site (which I’m personally very hesitant to even look into, because WA sounds as much like a hoax as Ameriplan) that *may* generate income for others..? That’s really unfortunately sad, because there are a LOT of work from home opportunities, through *many* legitimate companies…especially if skill and experience is under one’s belt. oDesk.com and Elance.com are options, as well as doing a simple search for telecommuting and/or work from home opportunities with reputable companies in Google search to connect you to Flex jobs I did this for my city (Kansas City) and received a *very* lengthy list (FOR FREE)of reputable companies in my area offering *many* work from home opportunities. Honestly, I think this site you have built is doing *no one* justice, as you do not come off as all that knowledgeable about legitimate work from home opps OUTSIDE of Wealthy Affiliate.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Ashley,
I am not pushing Wealthy Affiliate on anybody. I am simply suggesting if you are looking for a legit way to get your own online business started Wealthy Affiliate is your answer. I review all sorts of make money online programs to see if they are worth your hard earned money or not. I then recommend a safe and honest place to learn how online marketing works. You must not have even looked around on my site that much, cause if you did you would have saw that I actually recommend a lot of different ways to make money online besides wealthy affiliate.
Wealthy Affiliate is an online internet marketing training center. You can learn about everything from local marketing to affiliate marketing and just about any other kind of marketing you can think of. And guess what? You can get started for FREE so why wouldn’t I recommend people to sign up? The reason why I don’t recommend many other programs outside of WA is because over 90% of everything out there is a scam.
I have just checked out your Flex Jobs opportunity and as soon as I signed up they wanted my credit card info. (It’s not FREE like you said) This should be your first red flag. I am actually going to do a review on this company to see if they are as legit as they claim to be so be on the look out for it.
I wouldn’t knock something that you don’t know anything about without at least giving it a try. What have you got to lose? Especially when you can get started for FREE If you work hard at this you WILL make money!
Lots of people don’t have the skills to get jobs at odesk and that is where once again WA comes in at. You can learn new skills and get qualified to land some freelancing jobs. I’m sorry that you feel this way about my site. I have tried just about every work at home opportunity out there so I think i’m more then qualified.
I wish you all the best Ashlee in your online ventures, Have a good day, Scott
Tricia Spice
Scott, I would like to thank you very much. I was actually thinking of calling for an interview right now with Ameriplan but I wanted to look up this place and see what it is about. Sounds pretty crooked. People getting terminated as they make more money? How horrible. I have been looking for an at home job due to recent health issues and so far, no luck. I am broke and really need a job where I can work at home. Should I check out this Wealthy Affiliate? Or any other LEGIT work at home jobs you know about? I am at the point where I need money sooner or later.
Tricia
Scott Newkirk
Hi Tricia,
I’m so glad that you did your research beforehand and you found my review. I honestly can’t recommend Ameriplan to anyone because of them terminating people whenever they see fit to do so. If you are looking for an honest and totally legit place to learn how to start your own online business, I would highly suggest that you check out Wealthy Affiliate. You can get started for free and learn how to make money online.
I will also be there to help you out and answer any questions you may have getting started. In the year and a half I have been with them I have been able to quit my job and work from home full time now. I would suggest that you get started by opening your FREE account. The first thing you should do is fill out your profile by uploading a picture of yourself or You could use one of the images that WA provides you with.
Next, you should write a little about yourself and tell the WA community what you would like to achieve. The more we know about you, the better we can help you out. I really am looking forward to working with you Tricia and helping you make your first $1 online. I hope this has helped you out and answered your questions and if you have anymore questions please let me know.

Oh my gosh am I glad I did not march forward with this company. I think they really take advantage of people between a rock and a hard spot.
Anyway, I am so so glad I found your site because of your down to earth honest review. Do you know how hard it is to find legit reviews online? I am on disability and I am so sick of living off so little. I am tired of being dependant Ugh. All I have to make is 1000.00 a month as soon as possible. Is that doable working hard 6-8 hours everyday? I am teachable I just have to re-read things a couple of times because of my short term memory problems. Anyway, sorry to be rambling on….thanks again Scott and I will be signing up!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Debbie,
I am glad that you found my website as well and that I was able to save you from getting scammed by this company. MLM companies like Ameriplan sole purpose is to target people who need to make money fast. They make their program sound so enticing and people buy into their empty promises. Every program that I review on this website is down to earth and honest.
I feel like its my job to inform people about all the scams out there and show them a legit place to get an online business started.
Trust me I know it’s hard to find legit reviews online because I spent nearly 20 years trying to find a real opportunity. How long it takes people to get trained and start making money varies. Personally for me it took about 9 months to reach 1K per month. It could take you less then that or it could take you longer.
It all depends on how fast you pick this stuff up and how much time you are willing to spend doing this each day. I would say if you can devote 6-8 hours to this daily then you should be able to reach this goal in a reasonable amount of time. I would suggest that you check out everything that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer and sign up for your FREE account.
I will be getting in touch with you within an hour of you joining to make sure you are finding your way around the community OK and answer any questions you might have. I really am looking forward to working with you Debbie and helping you out as much as I possibly can.

Find something you like doing and it will be easier. Most of these type companies do cold calling. They also seem to have the pyramid flavor to them.Keep selling the pitch to others so you have income. No thanks I don’t like the instability.I might suggest data entry if you have those skills. There seem to be more legitimate companies in that area that will allow telecommute online work.
Scott Newkirk
Yes I would recommend taking a passion or hobby of yours and turn it into a full time business. This is called affiliate marketing and I do this Full time and make full time money doing it. I would highly recommend this if you are a stay at home mom looking to make extra money, or if you would like to make a career out of it.
I will also be there to help you get started and answer any questions you may have. I really am looking forward to working with you and if you have any further questions please let me know.

BBB states there is a government action against this company you work for. That doesnt sound so good. and the rating is an F.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Veronica,
I don’t work for this company anymore. I was only with them for 2 months and I was ready to get out. I know that there are lots of complaints filed against Ameriplan, and I have stated that in my review. The purpose of this review is to warn other people about Ameriplan, and show them a place where you can learn how online business works. I even show you how to get started for FREE and I offer my 100% help and support. Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing this with everyone here and if you need a hand with anything please let me know.

Yeah that was one of the pitches they used with me.We are backed by the BBB. Sure you are!The fact they are investigating you would qualify as being involved and backing you.Yes they actually pitched that they were legitimate with that phrase.

To Anyone Who Needs a Refund from Ameriplan:
You need to send a letter to the Corporation to the owners and it needs to be sent with certified and signature upon receipt so you will receive this card back in the mail. Once you have done this, you are legally due your money. You must request your refund and/or your lost income if you were terminated even for no reason. Find out if it is legal in your state to fire someone for no reason when they have built up a residual income. You should still be able to recoup your residual income if you get all the facts straight. But send your letter requesting refund and/or residual income asap. You may choose to find an attorney to give you a few specifics. Write down the questions you have and call several attys. Ask each one a question or 2 or 3 whatever he is willing to answer during your initial phone call. Many attorneys give a short, initial consultation. Ask questions clearly & succinctly. You may choose to find others and do a class action against the company. Maybe Scott will ask those on here who chose to be a part, will create a list and give each person on the list the email or phone of the others. All the best to you all! I do hate to see Liars, Scammers, Scumbag People take advantage of others. You shouldn’t be afraid to speak the truth, Scott. Clearly Ameriplan is run by Lowlife Scamming Jerks!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Roxi,
Great information that you have shared with everyone here. I’m sure that this will help lots of people as well as give them the information that they need to do something about Ameriplan. I think it’s downright dirty for a company to do that to someone who has worked so hard to get where they are.
Something needs to be done about this and I’m glad you have shared this with everyone here. I think that creating a list of everyone who has had this happen to them is a great idea and I will see what I can come up with on this. I 100% agree with you about taking advantage of people and I can’t stand Scammers liers or thieves either.
As a matter of fact that’s why I created this website to warn people of all the scams out there and to show everyone a safe and legitimate place to build a real online business I even show them how to get started for FREE and offer my help and support.
For anyone reading this and you are looking for a way to start making money online I would strongly recommend that you check it out. Thanks so much for stopping by Roxi and sharing this with everyone here and if there is anything I can do to help you out let me know.

Ameriplan is a scam. Buyer beware! Their website states that you can cancel at any time, but they will still charge you for a few months after that. I spoke to 2 supervisors who refused to give me a refund and would not acknowledge that their website stated differently.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Tiffany,
I agree that Ameriplan is a very shady company and I don’t agree with how they operate. If you check out some of the comments below you will see just how much of a scam this company really is. I’m sorry to hear that you got ripped off by this company and I would call the corporate office and demand a refund. I had to go through a lot to get my money back from them but I finally got it back.
If you are looking for a real way to actually start your own business online and be in control of it without being terminated after you put in lots of hard work(Check the comments below). I would advise you to check out Wealthy Affiliate. They are the only place that you can actually have your own business up and running and get started for free.
I will be there to help you out every step of the way and answer any questions you might have when getting started. They have changed my life so much for the better and I now am working from home full time now. I would love to show you how to do the same thing if you are interested. Thanks so much for stopping by Tiffany and sharing your story with everyone here and I am looking forward to working with you.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the helpful info on Ameriplan. Just wondering with WA what type of money are you making and did you sent up a business / website?
Are you marketing products or information?
Thanks
Scott Newkirk
Hi Jim,
I’m glad that you have enjoyed this review and I hope it has helped you avoid this company and find a legitimate place to learn how internet business works. I am not going to disclose my income here but I will tell you that I am making somewhere in the 4 figure a month range. This number is growing everyday and if it wasn’t for the help and support of Wealthy Affiliate I would never be able to achieve that kind of success.
Yes I did setup a business website and this website here is it. I am marketing products and information about the many ways that you can make money online legitimately. If you would like to do the same thing that I have done I would highly recommend that you join WA and get started with your free starter account.
I will also be there to help you out every step of the way if you have any questions or need a hand with anything. I am really looking forward to working with you Jim and helping you out in any way I can. Thanks so much for stopping by and I will talk to you soon.

Hi Scott,
Thank you so much for your review and additional posts. I had an interview scheduled for tomorrow morning and decided to do a Google search on my own to see what the company was about. I am so glad I found your review site and all the comments posted. My husband owned his own company for 13 yrs. and is a successful salesman. I never was. I was the detail person who kept his books. When the woman told me there would be “no cold calling” and that I would be provided leads, I thought maybe I could do that. Then I read all this……She was selling me and I don’t like it. I responded to the Stay At Home Mom comment because I found myself most like her…..I hate it when a person tells you something and then you are expected to read between the lines. Also, I want to thank you so much for sending me to Wealthy Affiliate site which is free. I joined and will see where it takes me. I need to make some income to pay our house off. My husband & I are in another business where we are on the road a lot so I need to do something online. All the best to you…..Sharon
Scott Newkirk
Hi Sharon,
I’m glad this review has helped you out and saved you from joining Ameriplan and wasting your time with them. I would avoid them and not get mixed up with them because you will regret it. Anyone who lies to you the first time they speak with you is up to no good.If they can’t be up front and honest with you from the get go they can’t be trusted.
With all your business experience from when your husband had his own company I think this will speed things up for you some at Wealthy affiliate. I’m glad that I was able to lead you to Wealthy Affiliate and I hope you are enjoying your first day there. If you need any help getting started please let me know and I would love to help you out.
If you really work hard at this you will start to see some really awesome results and I am looking forward to working with you. Thanks for stopping by Sharon and sharing your Ameriplan story with everyone here I know I have enjoyed it and I’m sure everyone else will too.

Yes Ameriplan might have downsized but any major company does the exact same thing in a down economy. When you go into working for a network marketing company you have to cover all your bases. If your making good money you need to be reinvesting somewhere outside of your primary company. Unfortunately nothing is for sure these days. That is how the rich stay rich. Yes it would suck to have to start over, but in the network marketing industry you need to be always improving yourself and be ready for the next thing in life. Books tapes people is a daily thing. The problem is people get complacent and want to be employees. It is in the contract that involuntary termination could happen. Sad but true. Anyway I like your website and thanks for the information on Wealthy Affiliate, I will be opening up an account today. Take care and God Bless…
Scott Newkirk
Hi Rob,
Yes I understand that you will need to have all your bases covered whenever you get involved with any network marketing company or any company for that matter. I agree that investing your money into something outside of your primary business would be a good idea if you are making some really good money. I just feel for all those people who got terminated after they started making really good money because that would really suck.
Especially the dude below who said he lost over 90 K a year when he got terminated. The thing I love about Wealthy Affiliate is that they teach you how to setup a business that you own. You are in control and you can’t get terminated under no contract.I was with Ameriplan for only 2 months and I’m glad that I got out when I did and that I found WA.
I’m glad that you like my website, and I would love to help you get your very own online business started. I just know you are going to love it at WA and if you ever need my help with anything please let me know Rob and I would love to help you out.

David
Scott you’re an idiot. I’m so glad you “got out” before you went under. It’s amazing that people like you can even make it from day to day without hurting yourself. You say you were not trained. If you really were an IBO then you would know what “back office” means. All kinds of training are listed there for you to educate yourself. Did you ever ask your sponsor for help or training? Did you call customer service at corporate for help? Yes Ameriplan is not for everyone and especially people like you who only know how to complain. So what did you think when you signed up that you wouldn’t have to talk to anyone and somehow you would be rich? I guess in your new business all you have to do is sit around and watch people come to you and without any talking from you they sign up. Because you said you don’t like talking to strangers. Well big shot when you make it to the top I guess I’ll buy your book on how to be successful without ever talking to or dealing with strangers.
Scott Newkirk
Hi David,
I have no problem whatsoever talking to people in the business I’m in now. As a matter of fact I talk to people everyday and show them how easy it is to get started for free and make good money online. When I said I wasn’t trained I was referring to how to sell the healthcare plans. The main focus was on how to recruit other people into the company and get them to sign up under you.
I called my sponsor up almost everyday and asked her how to do stuff and I attended the training calls every week as well. The thing that I wasn’t OK with was the fact that the main way to market this business was through cold calling. As I mentioned above I am not much of a telephone person and I don’t like calling up strangers and trying to sell them something and there are lots of other people who are not good at this either.
Not to mention the fact that once you get a pretty good income built up Ameriplan will terminate you under a no cause contract. Check out the comment from Laurel Livezey below where he tells the story of how his friend lost over 90 K a year after Ameriplan terminated him. That’s a lot of money to lose and If that’s not enough to turn you off from this company then I don’t know what to tell you.
I wrote this review to share my personal experience with everyone here and to give my honest opinion as to whether or not I would recommend this opportunity or not. In any business it takes lots of hard work if you want to be successful at it or not.
Obviously you must be making money with them and I’m glad for you. I would just be careful and try and invest your money different places so you don’t get screwed when they terminate you. I would rather start up a business where I’m in control and where I can grow my income as much as I want without worrying about the company terminating me for no reason.
Wealthy Affiliate can show you how to do this and the best part about it is you can get started risk free and you can check out everything they have to offer without paying anything. Thanks for stopping by David and commenting on this and I hope you have a very prosperous 2014.

David many people who do well in customer service don’t do well in phone sales.Unless its qualified leads. Its the nature of the pitch and the lack of interaction. Its also more likely that the individual selling doesn’t/hasn’t used the product or service.
Concetta
They’re ingenious…. they keep you there till you got a nice base of customers responsible customers that have it directly taken out of their accounts every month… generating them an enormous amount of revenue… and then boom! your fired….and they just made 90,000 more for the year….
Thank you for this Blog Scott 🙂 saved me a whole lot of stress
Scott Newkirk
Hi Concetta,
I agree with you that they wait till you build up your income pretty high then they really give it to you. I still don’t know how they can get by with this but they have done it to quit a few people. Personally, I would rather build up a business that I own and that I can control everything that happens in it.
This way I don’t have to worry about getting fired under a no cause contract. If you would like to start up your own online business and would like to know how you can get started for FREE you should definitely check out Wealthy Affiliate. They are the reason why I have been so successful online and I owe everything to them.
I will be there to help you out every step of the way and show you how to build an income up for yourself and not have to worry about getting fired after you get it built up so much.I will also be there if you have any questions about getting started and what your first steps will be.
I’m glad this review has helped you out Concetta and saved you a lot of stress. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I get the chance to work with you and help you setup an online empire that you are in control of.

I do agree that Ameriplan is scheme in its own. Maybe not a scam, but a way to get money from people that don’t know what they are doing. But that’s pretty much any “stay at home” work. Scott, you advertise WA a lot but that site isn’t any better at helping people make money at home. Yeah the sign up is free and there is a free boot camp and a few lessons, but there is still constant upsale on that site and non of the basic lessons make any sense. Also, the most important parts of the site are only a trial until you upgrade to the paid membership. You can’t even get anymore help or advice without paying. There’s no way to make money for free. So could you think of a different to site to advertise for because just giving us that one site is not helping. Especially when that site is just trying to get money like the other sites.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Greg,
If you think about all the thousands of people that Ameriplan has terminated after they have worked their butts off to build up their income and grow their businesses I would say that they are a scheme. I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you about the way you feel about WA.They have helped me in so many ways learn how to truly make money from home and I owe everything to them.
There is absolutely NO up sells at Wealthy Affiliate once you join premium which is totally optional and this is 100% up to you whenever you are ready. You get 7 days of Free access to the help and support of not only the entire community but Kyle and Carson will personally help you out and answer any questions you may have.
The first course that you have access to as a free member is full of valuable information and there have been quite a few people who have made money from the free lessons offered at WA. There is also no trial whatsoever and you can remain a FREE member for as long as you wish. You will be able to continue to work on your 2 free websites as well as be able to go over the training course that you are given to start out with as a free member.
Just to show you that I am not just saying this check out some of the testimonials from people who have went through the course on the free level and see what they had to say about it.
I think what they are offering for Free is more then what you would get anywhere else if you was a paying member. I really think that you should give WA a second chance because it is helping people everyday become very successful online. I understand if you are not ready to make a commitment or at least give it a try. The only other place that I could recommend besides WA is IMPHO. You won’t get nearly as much training or help and support there but it’s my #2 pick.
Thanks for stopping by Greg and I hope that I was able to help you out.
Cheers

What I like about Wealthy Affiliate is that it teaches you how to build an on-line business that you own. Instead of just having a job (at home), helping someone else to build their business.
Now if you know of a Magical site where I don’t have to do any work or put in any effort, and the money will just rush in like I can’t spend it fast enough, and everything is free, free, free! Please let me know, so I can share it with Greg At Home Dad. LOL

I have got to agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate shows you how to build up something that you own. You will never have to worry about being terminated after building up your business and your income. WA gives you so much more then a job at home. They have literately changed my life for the better, and I can’t thank them enough.
If you want it bad enough you will experience success through plenty of hard work. Nothing that is worthwhile in life is free. If all people is looking for is a free way to make money then they aren’t really serious about starting an online business. There will always be fees of some kind that is required to run a successful business.
Unfortunately there is no magical site out there that will spit out money at you for little to no work on your part. That is how so many people fall for scams these days because people believe this nonsense and the scammers out there are cashing in on this. Thanks so much for stopping by and chiming in on this discussion.

I have to agree with the author of this site. I just joined WA about 2 weeks ago and the community there is phenomenal! I have had Carson personally help me on several occasions and he gets back to you very quickly when you email him. The lessons, I feel are simple to understand if you have a small amount of computer knowledge. I have gone through the first two courses in just a few weeks, have my website up and running and being indexed on Google and have a few affiliate programs I am working with. Just a little effort goes a long way and WA is a God send for me.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Scott,
I am so glad that you are enjoying yourself at WA and that you are getting the help and support that you need. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t find WA, they have helped me so much and I owe everything to them. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience you have had with WA with everyone here.
It is greatly appreciated and if you ever need a hand with anything let me know and I would love to help you out. Hopefully Greg At Home Dad will give Wealthy Affiliate a second chance and see how much they can help him get started online.

For what it is worth, I am a salesman by nature, well, I certainly developed the knack at the young age of 14. I started out selling all types of things from cleaning products to newspaper subscriptions. I later when on to selling office equipment, advertising, swimming pools, med response equipment and over the past 26 years home improvements for myself.
But during slow times I would always look to supplement my income with sales. Now from all my experience I would say that the method with which you produce your sales is major. Cold calling will burn out the most seasoned veteran. the successful marketers have those interested calling them. this difference is huge, just in the time efficiency factor alone. Cold calling is for the birds, if you don’t have a method by where people will call you then you will be doing a lot of wheel spinning.
I also responded to the Ameriplan sales ad because I recently had a decline in my health due to a life threatening injury a year and a half ago. I did my best to return to my business but now really need something I can do from home. This sounded so good because it was everything I needed and with my experience in sales felt very confident in taking on the position of their representative. But after thankfully reading these comments it has saved me the anguish that would certainly befall me in the future.
This termination of their hard working employees is a down right slap in the face and I would have gone on a crusade to put them out of business and exposed the corrupt judge who delivered such a verdict. its a real crime that justice cannot be served in today’s society, I hope all of you find your way and enjoy all of the success you deserve. sincerely yours, Phil R.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Phil,
I am so glad that you found my review before you got involved with this company. They have done this quite a few times. It sounds like 1 big layoff without notice. I am so glad that I was only with this company for 2 months. I just didn’t like the idea of calling up complete strangers on the phone and try and sell them discount health plans. First of all I’m not a telephone person, and after I found out that was the main way to run this business I was out.
I have to agree with you Phil that if they would have done that to me I would have done everything I could to put them out of business. I would also see to it that I exposed the crooked judge for not doing anything about it. It is downright wrong for a company to do this to their IBOs and something should be done about it.
It sounds like you have a pretty awesome background in the sales field and I think that’s awesome. If you are looking for a way to start up an online business from home you should check out Wealthy Affiliate. You can get started for Free and you get everything you need to get your business up and running. I will also be there if you need any help getting started or have any questions.
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with everyone here and I am looking forward to working with you.

Wow, I can’t say anything good about this company because of what they did to my friend. I was involved for a number of years as well but I did not work it enough to make money and finally quite. But my friend. The one who got me into it was royally, royally screwed. He worked it for possible as long as 10 years. It was a long time. He was making about $90,000 per year. He had tons and tons of people working under him. It took him awhile to do it, but once it was rolling it was rolling…………He was very happy with this company and continued to press me to ” really work it”. I just want not as comfortable on the phones as he was. Anyway to make a long story short. They did terminate him. On Valentines day. They also terminated about 600 or more other people that Bob knew or had signed up. It was like somekind of massive layoff. He lost everything he had. He had bought homes for investment properties. He lost all of those. One by one. He lost his $90,000 per year income all at once. It was just horrible. He went to court, filed a lawsuit. It was a class action lawsuit. I thought for sure he would win it. He did not win it. Even though it was clearly unfair. The Judge just didn’t really get it I guess. So my friend lost almost everything he had because of this company. And he had spent literally years building up his client base and broker base. Don’t trust those twins at all. They don’t even get along with their own kids. It was devastating to him, it ruined him.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Laurel,
I am so sorry to hear about this and my heart goes out to your friend. I have talked to several other people who told me the same thing happened to them. I don’t think they was making that much money, but they were doing really well for themselves. They were terminated under a no cause contract. This basically means that they can terminate you at any time and for any reason. I couldn’t even begin to imagine what he went through and it makes me sick to even think about it. I don’t see how they can get away with it and win the lawsuit.
If something like that would ever happen to me I think it would take me a long time to get over it.I was only with Ameriplan for 2 months because I’m not a telephone person at all. I hated it that I had to call up a complete stranger and try and sell them a discount health plan. After about 10-15 people hung up on me I was done.
That is when I was introduced to Internet marketing and I absolutely love it. I am now in control of my own business and nobody can terminate me. I know that sometimes we all need a fresh start, and I would like to help you and your friend get back on track with your own online business. Does that sound good? I would suggest that you check out internet marketing for yourself and join an awesome community that is 100% FREE to get started.
If you have any questions I will be there to help you out every step of the way. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing this story with everyone here. This will help lots of other people save money and avoid this SCAM all together. We need to spread the word and let everyone know to avoid this program at all costs.

Chalotte
The company line to the hundreds of afiliates who were terminated without cause was that they had not worked their business for three months or more. That is NOT true. I was working my biz full time until the day I was terminated. I know many others who were terminated who told me that they too were working.
The real reason? Those who were not bringing in enough new business every month to cover their own residuals was terminated. So, we built up our residuals, only for them to be taken from us.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Chalotte,
Ameriplan seems like a shady company to work for! Even though there are many people out there that is making money from it. It seems too risky to work your butt off and build up lots of residual income, only have it taken away from you. I’m sorry to hear about this, and it makes me mad that a company would do that to someone who has worked so hard for them.
Instead of being rewarded for your hard work you get terminated. I guess you wasn’t making them enough money so they got rid of you. If you are thinking that there isn’t no legit companies out there, well I want you to think again. If you are looking for a place where you truly can get your own online business started, then I would encourage you to check out Wealthy affiliate.
You can get started for Free and get 2 FREE websites when you join. As well as have access to your first training course plus so much more that I can’t even tell you about all of it. You will be building a business that YOU are in control of not someone else that could terminate you at any time for no reason.
If you need my help getting started or have any questions, I would love to answer them for you and help you out. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience with Ameriplan with everyone here. It will help people out and save them some time and money.

scam scam scam . I own a dealership BUT to work for me , you have to buy one of my cars .lol christ
Scott Newkirk
Hi Ray,
A lot of people think this is a scam. I don’t really see it as a scam but it is something that I just couldn’t see myself doing. That scenario that you mentioned above is how a lot of scam artists are marketing their products. I just don’t approve of running my business like that. If you are interested in building a real business that you will own not some company. I would like to invite you to check out Wealthy Affiliate. They have been around since 2005 and they are the ones responsible for so much of my success online. You can get started for Free and have 2 websites up and running in no time.
Thanks for dropping by Ray and if I can help you out in any way let me know man.

Honestly when you started your business, everyone thought you were a scam to. Until you work it don’t put another business down. you should know that being a business owner you wouldn’t want people talk bad around where you live. Saying all these nasty things about you and you dealership. Once word gets around, then you might be going out of business cause no one is buying cars not saying no one is just saying.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Scott,
I understand what you are saying. Lots of people think that Ameriplan is a scam! I have heard some pretty bad things from ex members about what they do to you after you have built up a pretty good income with them. I just think that you need to work the business and give it a fair shot before you go screaming SCAM like you have said.
Ray could have had a bad experience with them and that could be why he thinks it’s a scam. I take it from your comment that you are with Ameriplan and I hope you are having lots of success with them. I want to thank you for dropping by and adding to this discussion.

No I never worked for them.I thought they were a scam.I contacted them about there offer. After a few[3 to be exact]emails the scam revealed itself.Sorry but mlm to me is a scam.It requires you to sign up others for your cash.Requiring more and more clients to earn your money. What about that isn’t a scam?If it were a added bonus for x number of clients or even a bonus for keeping returning clients I might say legitimate.Plus it costs you whether you have clients or not. This is one hall mark of a scam. Most legitimate companies don’t charge unless the sub has a large client base.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Sunny,
I actually was a member of Ameriplan for like 2 months and after I saw how you had to market the program I wasn’t interested. Ameriplan is your typical MLM pyramid scheme where you have to try and sign up as many IBO’s under you as possible. They do have their various discounted health care plans but as I have stated above there wasn’t any actual training on how to market this.
I have to agree with you about Ameriplan being a scam. If you read some of the comments from previous members of Ameriplan below you will see that this is NOT a program you want to get involved with. If you are looking for a way to make money online without worrying about being scammed, I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate. I have been with this company for going on 2 years now, and In that time I have been able to make a full time living from home.
I would love to help you out and show you how to do the same thing. You can get started for FREE and check out everything they have to offer. I will be there to answer any questions you may have and get you started down the right path to making money online.. I really am looking forward to working with you Sunny and thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience with Ameriplan with everyone here.
If you have any questions or need my help please let me know.

concerned stay at home mom
Hey, I was thinking about joining Ameriplan but things just didn’t add up to me. First off they told me there would be no cold calling involved and they were not the type of company that aggravates people. However after reading your post it seems like they lied about that. I am a stay at home mom that is looking for a work from home job that doesn’t require any telemarketing bull crap like that. Alot of things just didn’t add up to me 1 thing being why is it that I have to buy a plan to work for them when I already have insurance. 2nd thing being they say on there site that they offer direct deposit but yet when I talked to the woman the other day she told me I could not get direct deposit until I became a Senior Regional Sales Director, that I would receive a check in the mail. Now I am not sure about anybody else but that does not add up to me nor make me feel to confident about joining the company. Does anybody know of a good work from home job that you do not have to PAY to work for and that pays decent?
Scott Newkirk
Hi There,
When I first joined Ameriplan I was excited and I was hoping it was the real deal. Not too long after I joined I was having second thoughts about it. The main thing that turned me off about Ameriplan was the cold calling. I’m not much of a telephone person, so I didn’t like the idea of having to call up complete strangers and try to sell them an healthcare discount plan. Anyone that doesn’t let you try their product first without paying for it must not believe in it very much.
I remember they told me the same thing about direct deposit and I think it does sound fishy. I would love to help you out here and show you how to work from home and get started for FREE. After I quit Ameriplan I found Wealthy Affiliate and thanks to them I have been able to work from home and make some really good money.I would open your Free account and fill out your profile completely and then get started on your first training lesson.
I will be there to help you if you have any questions or need my help. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your experience with Ameriplan with everyone and I’m hope you didn’t lose any money with them. If you have anymore questions let me know and I would love to answer them for you.

To Concerned Stay At Home Mom : I am so glad you posted this comment. I found Ameriplan on Craigslist and sent them an e-mail. I was contacted by phone and set up the interview for tomorrow. I thought I’d do some Google research on the company first. After reading your comment and all the ones above I now know this is not for me. She told me the same thing about no cold calling. I also looked at the provider list for my area and there was only 1 or 2 in a 50 mile radius. It sounds so much like a pyramid scheme also. Thanks, Sharon Z.
Scott Newkirk
Hello again Sharon,
This isn’t concerned stay at home mom but I would like to chime in here and add to this discussion. If someone is going to lie to you right away and try to mislead you into believing a bunch of crap I wouldn’t want to start a business partnership up with them. When I was with Ameriplan I had the same problem with finding people who accepted their discount plans. There was only 1 provider in my area that would accept them so it really wasn’t worth my time.
They operate just like a pyramid scheme and that’s what I hate the most about them. Thanks again Sharon for stopping by and if you need any help let me know.

Thank you so much for posting this. I stumbled upon an ad for Ameriplan a few weeks ago, requested the phone interview, got the call, then learned about the upfront cost. I was, of course, immediately skeptical & said I’d take some time to think about it. I did a little research & found that seemingly it was a legitimate job opportunity, but just wasn’t convinced either way. After reading this article, I’m glad to know it isn’t a scam & to understand how the company works. After having the thought “maybe I should try it” in the back of my mind for a few weeks, I now know for sure this isn’t for me. It’s nice to quiet that thought for good!
I actually stumbled on Wealthy Affiliate, as well! I started on that, but I’ve been ignoring it. You’ve encouraged me to give it a good solid effort now. Thanks again, Scott!

Hi Avery, I was in Ameriplan for a couple of months and I gave it a try. I found out after about a little over a month of being in it that it wasn’t for me. I’m not really the kind of person who loves talking on the phone especially to complete strangers and try to sell them something. I hate cold calling and that is about the main way that this business works. I’m glad that you didn’t join because the start up fees aren’t cheap. There are some people who can make lots of money with them but I would rather be doing something else.
It’s great that you have joined Wealthy Affiliate and you should really start working on doing that because it is the only real opportunity that I have ever found. I would encourage anyone to join for FREE and get started on building your business and take charge of your life. It’s great that I was able to clear your mind about joining Ameriplan for good.
Thanks for stopping by Avery and sharing your thoughts about Ameriplan with everyone and if I can help you out in any way or if you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you Scott!
You’ve been extremely helpful. I just ran into their add and decided to do some research when I fortunately saw your page.
I’m extremely skeptical when a “JOB” involves any up-front payment but there are times when I just can’t help but telling myself “NO PAIN, NO GAME” and I might have just considered Ameriplan. But after reading your posts and many others and educating myself, I have a way better understanding of what their company is about, know and understand how someone can be extremely successful and happy with this company while others filled with anger and disgust. SALES are not made for everyone and it definitely ain’t for me 🙂
I thought your way of expressing your opinion was absolute kind, professional and detailed for which again I thank you very much. It seams as if it was meant to help and inform others which is much to be appreciated.
As for Amber’s comment:
the world is not just about you!
I trust you enjoy sales as well as the benefits but learn to accept that we are all so different and what you consider not being a scam for your own life, might have ruined other people’s. What you love, others can despite. It’s an opinion, and we all have the right to one.
Plus…. Let’s face it:
SCAM = a stratagem for gain; a swindle
SCAM = A fraudulent business scheme
SCAM = a dishonest scheme
We live in a world full of scams !
And Ameriplan is most certainly one of them!
Cheers!
Scott Newkirk
Hi Claudia, I’m glad that you found my review of Ameriplan helpful and that you was able to make a sound decision as to whether or not this company was for you or not. When I joined them back in 2012 I didn’t do my research on them like I probably should have. I just clicked on an ad for them and after a representative from the company called me I joined right away. This was a bad move, but they always say everything happens for a reason. I was with them for 2 months and I hated the idea of having to call up complete strangers on the phone and try to sell them something. As I have mentioned in my review I am no salesman and I hate talking on the phone especially to complete strangers.
I never said Ameriplan was a scam but some of the stories I have heard from former members of this company doesn’t sound very good at all. I don’t feel right in recommending this company to others because there is too much risk involved. As for Amber’s comment everyone is entitled to their opinion and I’m sure that she is probably doing very well with them. As with any MLM company some people do well, while others don’t. I am just glad that I could steer you away from them and save you some money at the same time Claudia.
If you are looking for a way to make some real money online that doesn’t involve sales or cold calling and is 100% FREE to get started I would highly recommend you check out Wealthy Affiliate. I have been with them for a year and a half now and I have made some pretty good money in that time. There is absolutely no risk involved and you can get training on how to setup your very own online business. I will also be there to help you every step of the way if you have any questions or need any help. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment I really appreciate it. Cheers Your Friend Scott
Amber
Ameriplan is not a scam! If you have a good upline that will assist you and you are willing to put forth the effort, you can succeed. There are a tremendous amount of training videos and weekly conference calls. I not only enjoy working from home but my ameriplan health discounts have saved me over $4,000 in a matter of months.
Scott Newkirk
Hello Amber, I’m glad that you are having success with Ameriplan and Congratulations on saving all that money with their health care packages. As I mentioned in my review above Ameriplan is not for everyone, If you enjoy talking on the phone and cold calling then this opportunity will fit you well. I joined them and after 2 months I decided that this was not the right business for me and I’m sure many other people feel the same way as I do.
I never said it was a scam, but I have talked to many people who was in Ameriplan for 4 or 5 years and they worked really hard at building up their business, and the company terminated them under a no cause contract. As a friendly warning to you or anyone I would just be very careful because this could happen to you as well. I wish you all the luck in the world with your business and I hope you continue to experience success. Thanks for stopping by Amber and leaving your feedback on this review.
