What Exactly Is Empowr?
In a nutshell, this is basically a social media platform where you’ll have the opportunity to get paid cash money for liking, sharing, and posting status updates. Their interface is almost an exact replica of Facebook and it even puts off the same vibe with the exception of a few things.
For those of you who are familiar with Fanbox then, this is nothing more than an upgraded version, with advanced features, a slicker layout, but other than that, the same rehashed garbage as before.
This could also be referred to as an advertising platform where you pay to post ads and get other people to like and share them to their circle of trust for maximum exposure.
Within the following review, I’ll be showing you what you’ll be doing once you join, and what will be required of you if you want to get paid. I’ll also be giving you my honest opinion as to whether this company is worth your time or not.
Who Is This Opportunity Geared Towards?
Obviously, this opportunity is geared more towards people who are involved in social media and are looking for a way to make a quick buck.
This opportunity caters to just about anyone out there who is looking to earn some quick cash by liking, sharing, and posting, a status update.
This is also targeted towards people who are looking for an easy way out and aren’t willing to put in the time and effort that’s required to build a real business online.
How Does This Work?
Once you join and create your free account you’ll be encouraged to like other peoples post and eventually create your own posts and upload a photo of yourself for maximum exposure.
The more posts that you like the better. By liking, sharing, and creating your own posts you’ll be establishing your credibility and building up your circle of trust.
In order to make money with this system, you’ll be required to like a certain amount of posts and create many of your own as well.
Your posts will then get put into this pool and other people will like and share your posts as well. They claim that you can earn $20 after you like so many posts and apparently I just made $40 for liking a few posts.
Check out the screenshot that I’ve captured for you guys below!
In order to cash out or spend your earnings in their marketplace, you’ll be required to either connect your Paypal account or give them your credit card number.
What’s the use of earning this money if you have to pay to get it?
Want me to let you in on a secret?
That money that you may see deposited in your account isn’t even real. This is another one of their shady marketing techniques that’s used as a ploy to get you excited and make you think that you really have earned $40 for liking a couple posts and posting a few status updates.
Let’s face reality and really think this through. Do you really think a company would seriously pay you $40 for liking a few posts and posting a status update?
I don’t think so!
If you really did earn that money why should you have to pay them just to release these funds to you? Any legitimate company out there in the online world wouldn’t EVER make you pay them to access your own money.
Instead of paying to access your own money, why not learn a skill that will actually pay you instead of stealing your money? See what program I recommend here!
Building Your Network
As you continue to like, share and post status updates within the community, you’ll also be building what they refer to as your circle of trust. Like I said earlier, the more active you are within the community the better and the better chance you’ll have to earn money for liking other people’s posts.
As you’ll see below, you can start building a following quite quickly and start to build your trust factor in no time flat.
Here’s What I Liked About It
- Free To get Started
- Accepts Paypal
Here’s What I Didn’t Like About It
- You need to pay to access your earnings(WTF)
- Deceptive marketing tactics that are designed to take your money
- You need to wait a 90 day maturity period before getting paid
- Borderline scam and not worth your time
How Do You Get Paid?
You’ll have the choice of either getting cash payments sent directly to your Paypal account, or you can bid on a variety of different items on their marketplace.
In order for you to request a cash out you’ll need to download their mobile app and request your cash code.
I found this to be another one of their slimy marketing techniques that they use so they can keep in constant contact with you, and send you multiple spam messages throughout the day.
Also, once I installed their mobile app it really slowed my phone down and I found their app to be very glitchy and I ended up uninstalling it minutes later.
I would highly advise you to NOT install their app!!
Do they actually pay?
Well, there are claims that people have made huge amounts of money with this program, while there are also many people who say that they never got paid and actually lost money.
How Much Will This End Up Costing You If You Want To Get Paid?
There are 4 plans that are offered when you join this company and depending on which plan you decide to go with will determine how much you get paid. Their basic plan is free to get started but is very limited in what you can actually do.
They claim that you can earn more by investing but can you really?
Let’s take a look below!
Just to clarify what their platinum plan consists of you will still need to pay 2.9% to access your earnings and 50% of that will be added to your account once you pay.
There have also been many complaints from previous members that they were charged up to $100 without their consent and they didn’t notice this until their bank statement came in the mail.
If you would decide to join this company then, by all means, don’t connect your Paypal account or reveal your credit card number to them or you’ll be sorry you did.
Empowr Complaints
As I was doing my research on this company I found more negative reviews than positive ones and it seems like there have been quite a few who have voiced their concern on many unauthorized charges to their account.
They have even gone so far as to cancel their credit card due to the many charges they incurred from this company.
Let’s take a look at them below!
Looking for a much better alternative that shows you how to build a real business online? Check out my #1 recommendation below!
Is Empowr A Scam?
From the minute I signed up for this program, I found it to be very fishy and come with lots of risks.
The thing that really concerned me tho more than anything else was the fact that you were required to hand out your credit card details to gain access to your own money.
Who does that anyway?
Would I consider this to be a scam?
I’ll leave that up to you guys based on the facts that I’ve provided you with today.
Would you consider this program to be a scam?
They entice you with these fake balances that seem real while in reality, this is just another one of their deceptive and shady attempts to get you to hand over your credit card to them.
This has got to be about as borderline scam as you can possibly get and I feel sorry for anyone who has fallen victim to this.
1 of the other many things that put a bad taste in my mouth was that they hold your money for 90 days and won’t let you access it until that time.
This seems like an awfully long time to wait for money that you have earned, wouldn’t you guys agree?
If you are truly looking for a genuine opportunity for you to learn how to earn money online then I’m afraid that this company isn’t going to cut it and in the end, you will be highly disappointed with what is offered here.
There are much better ways to learn how to make money online that doesn’t involve exposing your credit card number right away, or paying any crazy up-front fees to access money that’s rightfully yours.
The place that has shown me how to build a legitimate business doing something I love doing is Wealthy Affiliate.
You won’t be liking or sharing other people’s post, nor will you be required to pay for ads or any nonsense like that.
Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to build a business around your hobbies and learn how to make money by helping other people out.
Does this sound like something that interests you?
If you answered yes then I would highly recommend that you check WA out for yourself and see how they could help you.
I really hope this review has given you guys an inside look at what’s in store for you if you would decide to become a member of Empowr.
Do you have a story that you would like to share with other people about your experience with this company? I would love to hear about it and I’m sure that many other people would as well.
By doing so you’ll help other people avoid falling for this and becoming their next victim. Also if there was anything I wasn’t quite clear on, please let me know in the comments below.
Cheers
