Am I right?

If you have questions feel free to leave them for me in the comments below.
What Exactly Is Article Marketing?
Article marketing is a process where you’ll seek out places that you can write and submit articles to in hopes of driving traffic to your website and increasing your search engine rankings.
These include places like
- Ezine Articles
- Squidoo
- Street Articles
- Plus many more
By using article directories you can speed up the time it takes for your website to get indexed as well as generate traffic to your site.
It also creates a quality backlink and has many other SEO benefits as well.
How It Works
Write & submit your article to any of the directories that I listed above and wait for them to either approve or deny it.
I really like street articles because they approve your article in as little as 24 hours or less and it usually hits the first page within a day or 2.
Getting your website listed in the search engines naturally can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month or more depending on how actively you’re writing content.
Reason being is that when a website is new it’s not very popular, popular can mean many different things for Google, Yahoo, or Bing.
These search engines all have a different algorithm when it comes to rankings.
Keywords and quality content are the 2 main things you should focus on when writing your articles.
You don’t want your keyword density to be any higher than 1 to 2 percent because Google will think you are trying to spam the search engines. This is also called keyword stuffing, and Google looks down on this.
When you write an article and submit it to an article directory, it goes live on that website for all the members and pretty much the whole world to see.
This can really help you when it comes to getting traffic to your own website or websites.
Usually, most article directory’s will allow you 2 links for every 400 words, this is where you can put in your link to your website, or whatever you are promoting in the article.
While you are doing this whole process you are also creating quality backlinks to your website.
Bookmarking your article to social media networks likeDigg.com, Stumbleupon.com, del.icio.us.com, and sharing it on Facebook and Twitter can really give your article some awesome backlinks.
You should try and make your article as interesting as you possibly can. Here are a few things you should do before you even start to write your article.
- Do a search on the keywords, or title of your article, the traffic isn’t all that important because here you are focusing on QSR (Quoted Search Results).
- This number should be anything 300 or below, the lower the number the easier it will be to get ranked in the search engines.
- You can use any keyword research tool that you want; I personally use Jaaxy myself(check it out here) and find it to be a great keyword tool.
- Next thing you should do is go to Google and type your keyword or the title of your article in “quotes” this way you get an exact match of how many competing pages you are up against.
Doing these keyword researches beforehand can really help you in getting rankings in a minimal amount of time. Let’s go over the basic layout of how your article should look.
Write a catchy headline that includes the keyword you are targeting
- Explain what it is you are going to talk about.
- List the benefits of the particular product you are promoting in your article.
- Explain how this product will help people.
- Give your personal thoughts about the product.
- Tell them how they can get more information about it or where they can purchase it from.

Hi Scott,
Are you still making use of article marketing? It seems to me that it is not nearly as effective as it used to be! With all the Google Algorithm changes over the last few years it seems best to put your content on your own site and get social interaction going. You seem to have done very well getting comments on this site. Congrats
BTW Snap on your website theme! I have the same one, but you are putting me to absolute shame when it comes to your content. Keep it up, I might actually ask you to give me some pointers if I may

Hi David,
No I haven’t used article marketing in quite some time now. I agree with you that its better to concentrate on your website and try and get interaction going so you can get people involved in your content. This is what you will benefit from the most in the long run. I have done a pretty good job of getting comments on here and thanks so much for your comment as well.
I’m glad you love my theme and I see that you have the same one as me. I think you have got a great start on the content and the more time you put into this the better you will get at it. I would love to give you some pointers if you would like me to. You can send me a PM at WA and I would be more then happy to help you out man.
