There are many cashback apps out there that claim you can earn money for doing something that we all do on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
What is that you may ask?
Grocery shopping!!
This is something that we all do anyway, so why not get rewarded for it and put some of that hard earned money back in your pocket?
By this time, you may be thinking to yourself, come on Scott, not another shopping app!!
Before you go writing this off as another useless shopping app, take a few minutes to hear me out by reading this review in its entirety.
You can then, form your own opinions afterward.
Do we have a deal?
To be fair, when a friend of mine approached me and told me about the fetch rewards app, I was quite skeptical myself and I reacted to it the same way that you guys may have at first.
However, once I downloaded it for myself and had a few minutes to check things out I changed my opinion quickly.
In the following review, I’ll be going into complete detail and showing you how this app works, what rewards are available to you and how many points you’ll need to cash out.
Let’s get started, OK?
What Is Fetch Rewards?
Fetch rewards is a cashback app that rewards you for shopping and buying your favorite brands like you normally do anyway.
Similar to Ibotta, this app also requires you to scan receipts using the app in order to claim your rewards.
Since this app launched back in 2017 it has already been downloaded over 100,000 times and has achieved a 4 out of 5 star rating on Google Play.
Not too bad for an app that launched less than 6 months ago, right?
How It Works
It’s free to download and you can literally sign up and start earning rewards within a few minutes.
All it takes is a valid phone number and email address to sign up and you’re good to go.
Also, you can sign up using your Facebook account if you have one and the app will verify your identity and create your account.
To earn a bonus 2,000 points, enter referrer code HB4NA when signing up.
You should see these bonus points show up in your account shortly after you scan your first receipt.
You have up to 14 days after your shopping trip to claim your rewards but you should do this as soon as possible to avoid you either losing your receipt or it getting damaged somehow.
Personally, I usually do this in the parking lot after I have loaded my groceries into my car and this seems to work out the best for me.
There are a variety of ways for you to earn points with this app and I’ll be listing these for you below.
How To Earn Points Using Fetch Rewards
There are actually 3 ways for you to earn points with this app and they are as follows:
- 1)Special Offers- These offers are specifically tailored towards certain products that come with specific guidelines on what you’ll need to purchase to qualify for the offer.
Brand Name Offers- There are currently 250 brand names that you can earn bonus points on for just having them on your receipt. This includes popular name brands like Cheetos, Digornos, Kraft, Mtn Dew, and so many more.
Check the screenshot below for more popular name brands that you can earn bonus points on!!
Do you guys buy any of the brands listed above on a regular basis? Why not put some extra jingle in your pocket for doing this while you’re at it?
As far as I know and according to this app you don’t need to buy any certain products to get credit for these items, you just need to have these brand names on your receipt when you scan them in.
You can earn anywhere from 100-500 points (10 cents to 50 cents) so don’t expect to get much from this particular method.
Sharing Is Caring- Like other apps of this nature, they have a referral program in place where you can earn up to 1,500 points for each person that enters your referral code.
Also not only do you get 2,000 points but your referral also gets 2,000 so it’s a win-win for everybody.
This is ideally the quickest way and easiest way to rack up points and make money with this app.
Even though their referral program isn’t nearly as good as Dosh that pays you $5 cash for each referral it’s still definitely worth your time due to their low payment threshold.
(I’ll be covering this next so continue reading)
How Do You Get Paid?
Once you have accumulated a minimum of 3,000 points you can cash them in for your first reward.
There are a variety of gift cards for you to choose from at the $3 level and this includes well known merchants like Amazon, Regal Theaters, Gamestop, and Best Buy to name a few.
Most of the rewards start out at 5,000 points ($5) and go up to 50,000 points ($50) There are well over 55 gift cards for you to choose from so no matter what your style is, you’re sure to find a gift card that suits you.
If you would prefer to receive cash then you have the option to do so within the app.
As far as I was able to tell, the only cash option that’s available to you is Visa/ Mastercard virtual rewards card.
These come in the following amounts:
- $10- 11,500 points- Visa/ Mastercard
- $25- 27,000 points- Mastercard
- $25- 27,500 points- Visa
- $50- 52,500 points- Visa/ Mastercard
Once you redeem a reward they will send this to you virtually via the email address you signed up with so make sure you’re giving out a valid address.
You can also access your rewards inside the app as well under my rewards.

Is Fetch Rewards Really Worth Your Time?
Even though this may not be our #1 cashback app, it’s still something you should definitely check out as a great way for you to put some of your hard earned money back into your pocket.
This app is geared more towards grocery shopping and if you aren’t the main person in your household that does most of the grocery shopping, then you probably won’t have much use for this app.
However, if you do a good amount of the grocery shopping for your household then I would highly recommend that you download this app to save you some money each time you go shopping.
Also, don’t forget to enter referrer code HB4NA for an additional 2,000 points, once you scan your first receipt.
If cashback apps aren’t your thing and you would rather spend your time more wisely then here are a few alternatives that may interest you below.

Fetch Rewards is a scam. They steal information off your phone including passwords & personal stuff. They dont pay out. Dont waste your time. Complete scam.
Scott Newkirk
Hey Robert,
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Fetch Rewards.
I’m pretty sure that they don’t steal information off your phone cause they don’t have access to that information unless you give it to them. Due to my experience with them and many other people as well, they do actually pay out.
Do you have any proof that they don’t pay out? I’m sorry that you’ve had a negative experience with this app but how can you sit there and call it a scam if you downloaded their app for free?
Anyways, I want to thank you for dropping by and sharing your experience with Fetch Rewards with everyone here today.
I really appreciate it, man.
Cheers

Happy to read the post and learn about cashback. It is very useful and beneficial website.
I checked a lot of websites which provide different data feeds like cashback and daily deals but they don’t provide good commission on cashback.
So that’s why I decided to don’t work with affiliate networks and build my own affiliate website.
Last month I found an affiliate website. It’s UK based network which offers 80% commission on data feeds under the name RevEmbed Technology revglue(.)com/publisher/revembed.
If you have any idea or experience about this website. Please share with me. This will help me
Thanks

Hey there,
I’m glad this information has helped you out and that you were able to learn more about how cashback works. Fetch Rewards is right up there with my top-rated cashback apps that are actually worth your time and pays out.
I’m also thrilled to hear that you have started your own affiliate website.
I actually started my affiliate website nearly 6 years ago thanks to a company called Wealthy Affiliate. It’s because of them that I have had the opportunity to earn a full time income from home.
It’s important to keep in mind, however, that you aren’t earning commissions here you are simply being rewarded for shopping at your favorite stores and buying certain brands that you likely are already buying anyway.
Why not get rewarded for staying loyal to these brands and buying the specified products that are featured within this app?
Also, thank you for letting me know about this website and I’ll add it to my list of things to review.
If you would like to request a review on a specified product or service you can do that here!!
Once I have completed the review on my website I’ll send you a link to your email to let you know it’s ready.
Thanks so much for stopping by and adding your 2 cents to this review and expressing your feelings about Fetch Rewards with everyone here today.
It’s much appreciated!!

I’ve recently downloaded the Fetch Rewards app and am very pleased with the ease of scanning receipts, getting points and redeeming the rewards. Up until yesterday, April 1st, I received 200 bonus points for each scanned receipt in addition to any earned points for participating products. The one scanned today only rewarded me with 25 points which is a bit disappointing. Hopefully that’s just a “one of”. Regardless, I give this app 5/5 stars!
