If you’re the type of person who enjoys taking surveys for cash and you have run across Panda Research, you may be wondering just what this survey panel is all about and whether or not this is another scam for you to watch out for?
There are a multitude of mixed reviews out there about this company so I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in as well by writing a detailed review for you guys.
I have received several emails from my loyal visitors asking me this exact question as well as many requests for me to review this via my report a scam page.
Is this survey panel nothing more than a phishing scam that collects your personal information and sells it to third party companies?
Well, as I was doing my research for this system there were several red flags that were raised for me and I’ll be covering these in complete detail as well as answering any questions that you guys may have about this system.
Without any more unnecessary chatter from me, I’ll be getting right into things here and exposing this survey site for what it truly is.
Are you guys ready?
Panda Research Survey Review
Name: Panda Research
Website: pandaresearch.com
Type Of Site: Surveys/ Paid Offers
Price To Get Started: Free
Overall Rank: 1/5 Stars
What Exactly Is Panda Research
Have you ever visited a survey panel where you were asked more questions about things like going back to college, receiving grant money, or qualifying for a free 4 day/ 3-night cruise?
Well, if you have then you should be pretty familiar with how Panda Research works as this is the exact same BS I had to deal with when I landed on their site.
Founded in 2005, this site claims that you can earn money in a variety of ways with paid offers being the main course.
They also claim that you can earn up to $3 or more for completing simple surveys, but what all do you need to do to qualify for these types of surveys?
That’s what we’re about to find out so I invite you to continue reading as things are about to get really interesting up in here.
How It Works
Signing up for an account is pretty straightforward and consists of 3 easy to follow steps which are as follows:
- Create your profile & answer a few basic questions
- Select what offers you’re interested in
- Verify your email & start getting paid
Once I verified my email and declined the many spam offers as I like to refer to them as in the second step, I actually got the notification that $3 had been deposited to my account.
Sounds great so far, right?
Well, thats the same thing I thought until I started to dig deeper into this site and find out how you make the real money with them.
How To Earn Money With Panda Research
There are actually 4 ways to earn money with this site and I’ll be listing these for you guys below
Taking Surveys- You are led to believe that you can earn up to $3 per survey for simply stating your opinion and giving your honest opinion on some of today’s most trending topics.
However, due to my personal experience so far, I failed to qualify for most of these surveys, and the ones that I did manage to qualify for, took forever and I only was able to earn 50 cents max with each one.
Completing paid offers- This is where you need to really be careful as most of these offers require you to enter your credit card details. While most of these offers come with a 7-day free trial, this is how they lure you in and hope that you forget to cancel after 7 days.
Participating in their referral program- If you would like to refer other people to this survey panel you can earn 10% of whatever your referrals make.
However, you won’t get this money until they reach the payment threshold and cash out their earnings.
Due to their extremely high payment threshold, which I’ll be getting into here in a few minutes, it could take years before you see this money.
Get Paid To Read Emails– You can earn anywhere from a couple of cents up to 50 cents for each email that you read according to their specified instructions.
A Few Red Flags To Watch Out For
As I continued to do my research on this site, there were many red flags that were raised for me and here are a few things that I would highly advise you not to do.
If you do decide to enter your personal details I would only enter your real email address and not give your real name, address, and phone number.
That is, unless you don’t mind getting telemarketers calling you and telling you that you’ve won an all expenses trip to the sunny Bahamas and all you need to do is pay a small processing fee.
Here are a few screenshots that I was able to capture for you guys below about a few pretty obvious red flags that I encountered doing my research.
Seriously?
$15 to complete a survey on Arthritis and $12 for Asthma?
I highly doubt that, and if this is true then your chances of qualifying for this survey isn’t the greatest.
Also here is another reason why you shouldn’t enter your real phone number when you sign up unless you want to get it blown up with calls from telemarketers.
Also, if you have entered your real email address look to receive these offers in your inbox as well as long as many other promotional offers that they may decide to throw your way.
I would proceed with caution and if you do decide to join, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Pros Vs Cons At A Glance
Pros
- Free to join
Cons:
- Lots of complaints from members not being paid
- Too much spam and possible phishing
- The minimum threshold is set at $50 (Which is ridiculous)
- You won’t qualify for the majority of the higher paying surveys
What Are Other People Saying About Their Experience With Panda Research?
As I continued to dig even deeper into this system and see what a few other people had to say about their experience things continued to get worst.
Here are a few things that I was able to find out about this system from other people and I have captured these for you guys below.
It looks like their payment threshold must have been $100 a while back and they must have lowered to $50 which is still ridiculous and stupid if you ask me.
Who the hell is going to earn $50 to $100 with surveys anyway?
If you have been an active follower of mine and have been reading my similar posts then you know that it could take you years or more to earn enough money to cash out here.
This is probably one of the hugest beef that I have with this site and if this doesn’t set off a few alarm bells for you then it should.
As you can also see above they have a habit of not counting your surveys after you go through the headache and frustration of completing them.
Is Panda Research Surveys A Scam?
While I’m not sure if I would go as far as calling this a scam as they have somehow been around since 2005 which is pretty impressive for any company in the online world.
However, due to the many red flags that I have uncovered in this review, I wouldn’t recommend this survey site to my worst enemy as I feel like it’s not worth your time as I feel like there are much better options for you to make money online.
Also, if you aren’t careful with your personal information here, then there’s a good chance that you could fall victim to a phishing scam and have your information sold to third party companies.
Is that really a risk you want to take?
If you’re interested in completing surveys that are actually interesting and don’t make you complete multiple screener questions and jump through hoops just to find out you don’t qualify for the survey, then I think you would have better luck with places like
These are currently the survey sites that I use to earn a decent amount of money from on a monthly basis and the only ones that I would recommend as being worth your time.
Obviously, you’re not going to earn a living from these sites alone, but they can come in handy and give you a little extra spending money to take your husband, wife, girlfriend, or boyfriend out to a dinner and a movie, but thats about it.
If you’re looking to earn more money than just pocket change and you’re looking to replace your 9 to 5 job then you might want to check out Wealthy Affiliate instead.
This is the place that has shown me how to turn a hobby of mine into an online business that has been paying the bills and allowed me to live a life of luxury for the past 5 years now.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in learning more about then I would highly recommend that you check them out for yourself and see what they can do for you.
Other than that I really hope this Panda Survey Research Review has given you an inside look at what this site has to offer you and why you should avoid it at all costs.
Have a particular experience that you would like to share about this survey site? I would love to hear all about it in the comments below.
Cheers
