We all have a reason why we want to be successful online. I know many of you will probably say I want to get rich and make lots of money, but isn’t that what we all want?
Before getting started online, you need to have a purpose other than just paying bills and surviving. If that’s your only goal in life than you would be much better working at a J.O.B for the rest of your life and what I’m about to share with you today probably won’t interest you.
Today, I want to talk with everyone about goal setting and stress the importance of setting goals as well as reaching deep down in your soul and helping you determine why you want to start up an online business.
Why Do You Want To Make Money Online?
I want you guys to take a few minutes and actually think about this long and hard before coming up with an answer. Why? Because this is going to be the driving force behind your efforts and will determine whether you’re successful in this industry or not.
One of the reasons why most people fail before they get started is due to the fact that they don’t know why they want to go down this path they just know that they wanna make money. I want to share my personal story with you guys and give you some of the reasoning behind my decision to get started online below.
When I started out here over 3 years ago, I had a few reasons why I needed to be successful online which powered my “WHY”. For starters, my mother had just been diagnosed with stage 1 Alzheimer’s disease and she needed full time care.
I needed to find something that I could do from the comfort of my home that would allow me to earn an income while taking care of her at the same time.
I was also dealing with many problems from my soon to be ex-wife and she made it nearly impossible for me to hold down a full time job in the outside world. Not to mention I was pretty fed up with corporate America anyway and I was sick of working for someone else and helping them build their dreams.
So as you can see I had many valid reasons why I needed to make this work for me and I’m sure that many of you can relate to this.
Let’s Talk About Goals For A Few Minutes
Once you determine what your “WHY” is you’ll need to set some goals for yourself that you would like to achieve within a given time period. Setting goals is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself and it’s what will keep you motivated and give you something to work towards.
If you don’t set goals for yourself then you’re just setting yourself up for failure. What are some goals that you would like to reach in the next 30, 60, or 90 days? Maybe you would like to free up some time to spend with your family and spend more time doing something you love vs working for a paycheck and barely getting by?
You could be a stay at home mom that would like to make an extra couple hundred bucks a month to help out your spouse so he doesn’t have to work so hard.
Perhaps you are going through a few of the same problems that I faced when I started here. You may have a goal of earning an income online to help alleviate some of the stress of caring for your sick or disabled loved one or dealing with a difficult spouse.
Whatever your case maybe I can assure you that you can reach any goals that you set if you are willing to work hard at them and put in the time and effort it takes to achieve them.
If I hadn’t set goals for myself over 3 years ago, chances are that I probably wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have today in the online world.
How Will You Reach Your Goals?
This will require lots of determination, motivation, and plenty of self-confidence on your part. One of the deciding factors that determine how you reach your goals is all riding on your shoulders. If you aren’t that self-confident and you lack the motivation to keep moving forward then you may find it a whole lot harder to reach your goals in the specified time that you set out to reach them.
Here are a few tips that I tell everyone when they tell me they are having trouble reaching their goals
- No matter how busy you are, try and set aside at least 30 mins to an hour each day to work on your goals
- Write your goals down somewhere that you’ll be able to look at them every day(I recommend a whiteboard)
- Give this 110% and try not to get discouraged if you don’t see results right away
Another thing to keep in mind when setting goals is that the work you do today will pay off later and in some cases it will continue to pay you for years to come. Unlike a J.O.B which offers instant gratification, building an online business is quite the contrary.
Help & Support Is A Must
Determining your “WHY” and setting goals is good and it plays a huge role in whether you’re successful online or not. However, if you don’t have the proper help and support, you might as well throw in the towel right now. Did you know that close to 90% of people who start out in the online marketing world end up quitting before they’ve made their first sale online?
That’s some pretty crazy statistics if you ask me wouldn’t you agree? Why is that Scott? It’s because they don’t have someone there to hold them by the hand and tell them what they’re doing wrong and help them avoid making the same mistakes that they made when first starting out.
I have helped hundreds of people not only find their “WHY”, but also help them reach their goals as well when they’re just getting started. I know how overwhelming and confusing it can be to start something new that you know absolutely nothing about.
What if I told you that you could Become A Member of a community that not only cared about your success, but would also be there to support you 100% of the way. Would you be interested?
What If I also told you that they provided you with a blueprint to your success and you could gain access to some of the highest quality tools in the industry to achieve massive results?
Here’s the kicker and the part that I think you’ll love the most. You can get started for free! That’s a pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
In closing, I’m going to ask you one last time, what is your why for wanting to start an online business? Would it happen to be any of the things that I’ve listed above, or is it a more personal reason?
Now that I’ve shared my reasons for getting started online, It’s your turn now. I would love to hear your reason why you would like to pursue a career online.
Leave them for me in the comments section below!
Cheers
~Scott~
