I have been searching for legitimate places that will teach you how to get started with Internet marketing for quite a few years now. In all my years of research I have only found one other place that teaches this. In this review I am going to be examining an online business community called IMPHO. Let’s dig down into this opportunity and see if they are worth your time and money.
Let’s get started!!
IMPHO Product Overview
In case you are wondering what IMPHO stands for IM is Internet marketing and PHO is a Latin phase for forum. This is basically an Internet marketing training center that consists of:
- An active forum that consists of many different topics
- Over 500 training modules
- Tools that you need to get your business started online
- An active community of members
- A pretty awesome affiliate program that pays 50% commissions
It was started in 2011 by Allen Payne so this is a fairly new opportunity. With a little over 3,000 members and growing, this online community has a pretty good support system and they have just added the feature to create your own personal blog.
Who Is The Targeted Audience for IMPHO?
Anyone that is looking to start their own online business or enhance their Internet marketing skills. There is a wide range of material covering everything from how to setup your first website to how to start your first PPC campaign.
Anyone who is serious about starting an online business will benefit from this community. Even though it doesn’t stack up to my #1 ranked online community it’s still definitely something that you should check out.
Training And Tools Offered By IMPHO
There are over 500 training modules available to premium members and 35 available to starter members. I have been a premium member of this community for a little over 2 weeks now and I haven’t had the chance to go over all of them yet.
The ones I did check out seemed very informative and up to date. I was very impressed by all the different training that was available to starter members as well as premium.
As you can see below there is a wide range of topics that are covered here.
Tools offered at IMPHO
This is the area where I think they are lacking in. There are a few good quality tools offered here, but I was looking to see more of a selection. When you are starting an online business you need to have all the right tools for success. I know they are still kinda new and I’m sure as time goes on there will be more tools added.
There was a few things that I didn’t like about this online community
There is a good deal of training on using PLR (Private Label Rights) content. In case you don’t know what this is it’s pretty much duplicate content that is licensed to be used by everyone. What you need to do is change it up some and make it your own. Here are a few reasons why I try and stay away from PLR content
- Duplicate content will kill any rankings you have in Google
- The time you spend on rewording this content could be spent on writing your own original content.
- If you can’t come up with your own original articles without using PLR content then you will not experience any type of success in Internet marketing.
Another thing that I didn’t like was they were recommending that you promote JV (Joint Venture) products. These are low quality scammy products that you will find on click bank, usually in the make money online niche.
I don’t necessarily agree with these things that they are teaching and you don’t have to promote them or follow their advise about them if you do decide to join. Besides those 2 things I have mentioned above I think this is a very legitimate opportunity.
Does Allen Offer His Help And Support?
There are several ways to get help and support at IMPHO and I am going to list them below.
Posting a question in the forum in the support category is one of the best ways to get help and support. Once you post the question it will be seen by everyone and someone will usually get back to you in a couple hours or sooner.
Under each training module there is a place for you to ask questions about anything you need help with. Just post your question and either Allen will answer you or another member of the community will.
You can send Allen or any of the other members a PM (Private Message) and they will help you out with any questions or problems you may have.
Opening a ticket in the help desk. They usually get back to you within 24 hours but sometimes it can be longer.
Let’s go over some of the Pros and Cons of this opportunity
Pros:
- $0 Starter Membership with a 20 week training course get started for FREE
- No annoying up sells or ridiculous claims that you will make $10,000 overnight.
- Step by step training program that teaches you how to get started in Internet marketing.
- Over 500 training modules ranging from getting your first site up and running to more advanced marketing techniques
- An active forum where the owner responds to your questions and offers his help.
- An awesome affiliate program that pays 50% commission on any sales you make.
- A ranking system setup similar to that of Wealthy Affiliate get points for doing various activities on the site. Cash your points in at the end of the month for prizes.
- The training offered is well worth the premium price tag
Cons:
- They recommend that you use PLR content which is not a good thing.
- They encourage you to promote JV products which are known to be scammy.
- a lot of information to be taken in and many people get overwhelmed.

My final thoughts about IMPHO
I have reviewed a pretty good amount of products and services that are related to online business and how to make money online. Out of all of those reviews, nothing would even come close to the level of standards that I was looking for in a make money opportunity. The online community at IMPHO has actually impressed me in quite a few ways.
They are teaching a few things that I don’t agree with, but overall this is one of the better opportunities that is available that teaches you how to start an online business. Another thing that you should keep in mind is that they are still new. They have only been around for 2 years so as time goes on they will only get better.
I would recommend this membership site to anyone looking to get started online. Even though they don’t offer nearly as much training, tools, and overall personal 1 on 1 support as Wealthy Affiliate. I think that here in a few years you will be surprised at how much this online community will grow and continue to improve.
I really hope that this review has gave you an idea of what you can expect when you sign up for either a FREE starter membership or if you decide to go premium. If you are a member of IMPHO, or you are thinking about joining this community. I would love to hear your thoughts, questions, or any feedback you would like to add to this review.
I will get back to you within 24 hours with my response to any questions you might have prior to joining. Your Friend Scott

Thanks for this invaluable review.
I will start with the Free Option, then later decide on the second option and also consider Wealthy Affiliates
Scott Newkirk
Hi Charles,
I’m glad you enjoyed this review and I hope you was able to make a sound decision on which online business community will be a good fit for you. I think that IMPHO is a great way for people to get started in internet marketing and learn the basics. As I have stated in my review I would be careful about PLR content because this is pretty much duplicate content that is just re worded. I would also recommend that you check out Wealthy Affiliate as an alternative to IMPHO.
They have been around since 2005 and they offer so much more training, tools, and personal help and support. Both communities have lots to offer and it’s Free to get started in both of them. This is completely up to you. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on this review and if you have any questions or need help getting started please let me know and I would love to help you out man.

Never heard of this site. Atleast it`s nice to know a few people are still trying to teach legit methods.
Scott Newkirk
I have never heard of it either Chip, until I got an email about a month ago from the owner asking me if I would do a review of it. It seems like a pretty legit opportunity except for a few things that I didn’t agree with but overall it seems like a great opportunity for anyone looking to get started online. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. If I can help you in any way let me know man.
Kyle
I will make this really brief:
The biggest form of flattery is when someone tries to copy what you have created.
It is more than evident that is what is happening here. From the 30 Day success Challenge, to the different membership names (Starter & Premium), to the actual terminology used as their training platform.
This individual is a past member of WA and he obviously didn’t learn one thing that we teach in this business, copying does not lead to success.
He has instituted a copy cat mentality within his entire business model, but he is also teaching techniques that are based on the premise of using copied content…like PLR and rehashed content.
Scott Newkirk
I definitely agree with you on these points that you have mentioned Kyle. When I first checked out this website I seen lots of similarities to WA. I had no idea that this person was a member of WA in the past. You would think with all of the training that teaches you not to use PLR content or other scammy affiliate programs that he would have learned this is not the right way to teach others to get started in Internet marketing.
I 100% agree that if you can’t be original and come up with your own content and business models then you will experience very little success. Let’s just hope that in the coming years he will change his strategies about marketing and teach people the correct way to run an online business. I really appreciate your feedback and for getting involved in this discussion.
Daniel Euergetes
This is exactly the first impression I got when I stumbled across this site via Google Alerts.
The terminology and the way the site is set up told me from the beginning that this was too much of a parallel to WA in many ways with a few alterations, that if the founder wasn’t a member at some time, he is very familiar with WA.
I never got any kind of confirmation to my suspicions that Allan was an ex member of WA and is probably in the Forum.
Because it is using many of the same tactics in its business model WA has created, it will probably see a higher degree of success than other sites in this genre.
I agree with this Review, and it is very well written! Great job Scott! My review shares many of the same findings. Of the JV thing, I have not yet become aware, but in this, I feel the same about JV partnerships. They were great in the beginning when this was a new thing, but have quickly deteriorated by 2004. Even back then, JV partnerships were questionable.
PLR is awful! It behooves this membership to drop that out of their training program as it really tarnishes the other well-done content on there.
The site has potential. Albeit, a copy is never as good as the original. Potential success with this membership lies in originality.
Scott Newkirk
I don’t like how Allen is copying a few of the training lessons found at WA. For example, The 30 days to success challenge is similar to a older training lesson Wa had back in 2011 called the 30 day success club. I was on Allen’s site the other day to find that he has now changed his affiliate training on how to promote IMPHO to the affiliate boot camp. He has copied what Kyle has created with the WA Boot camp and just changed it up a bit to make it his own. I don’t like the idea of him copying other peoples work, but I guess since he supports PLR content he doesn’t see nothing wrong with doing this.
If he could be original and stop trying to copy other people, lose the PLR content training, and the JV zoo recommendations this site could have some potential. Since it is still new and only been around for 2 years then I guess maybe he will learn from his mistakes and start teaching his people the right way to start up an internet marketing business.
Thanks for stopping by Daniel and chiming in on this topic of discussion and if I can help you in your online marketing business please let me know and I will help you out.

Are the math problems on you CAPTCHA getting harder as I comment more? LOL. Last time it was 3-1, and this time it’s asking me to multiply!
I too was surprised that there was another training community out there. I know there’s been a few in the past, but they were super expensive (like hundreds of dollars per month) and they didn’t last long. I think one was called Hopper Net or something like that. I can’t remember.
WA has definitely been around the longest, and has had time to evolve. I spoke with Allen too, and he seems really committed to the community, so I imagine there will be significant improvements in the future. The question is now…do you really need to be a part of two communities? Probably not, but if your business makes enough money, an extra $27 per month isn’t going to be that much to fork out, and you can get more perspectives on online marketing.
Scott Newkirk
I don’t know man but it has done an awesome job controlling my spam. It’s good to know that there are a couple of other places online that are teaching this at an affordable price. In my opinion I feel that both communities are well worth the price. Allen seems like a pretty cool guy as well. I was surprised when he took my critique and said he would keep it in mind for future improvements to the site.
As far as being involved in 2 communities I don’t really feel that it’s necessary unless you want to get all the information you can about IM. I am just putting the information out there for everyone, informing them about all the legitimate products and services that are available to them as well as which products they should avoid. I always appreciate your feedback and for contributing to this discussion.
Rick Jantz
Hey Scott, really nice review. It sounds like this company is doing a lot of the right things and your review gives some assurance that a beginner will do OK. The part that concerned me was the PLR content piece. I totally agree with you that you may as well spend the time writing your own original content. There’s a sense of pride and satisfaction in doing that anyways.
Thanks and good to know there is another legitimate training center like Wealthy Affiliate.
Scott Newkirk
Hi Rick, I couldn’t believe it when I found out there was actually another training center similar to Wealthy Affiliate that was legitimate. There needs to be more places like this on the internet instead of all the scams and get rich quick schemes that you find. The PLR content had me worried as well but I’m sure as time goes on this could change down the road. Thanks for stopping by and offering your feedback on this
